Oh, lord. Japan loves us ALL. Nino and Inoue Mao playing a couple in a drama SP, it's like I can practically hear Nino's gleeful little devil laugh. Please, fandom, if you love me at all you will write a lot of fic where they go torture poor, innocent Matsumoto, okay?

Also, eeeeeee, Hancho starts tonight! DO WANT DO WANT DO WANT. And then Atashinchi no Danshi tomorrow! Although, I have to say. I'm kind of not looking forward to yet another season of clawing at the walls while waiting for subs. D: Already I've been poking d-addicts to cough up Ghost Friends subs and it hasn't been complying. D:

OH AND. I started watching Kiva again! I am two episodes away from the end! I-- I was kind of super pissed at Kiva for awhile, BUT THEN TAIGA SHOWED UP AND WOW JAPAN. JUST. WOW. Not even the Fukami brothers were that gay. .__.b

And, of course, more Arashi stuff. Spoilers for anything listed under the cut:

♥ - TV Life SMILE cast scans - I LOVE JUN'S OUTFIT WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY VERY BEING. Just looking at the previews was enough to make me violently heartmark over him, but actuall looking at the close-ups?

It's not just a seafoam green shirt.

No.

It's a wifebeater with a SHEER SEAFOAM GREEN SHIRT OVER IT.

THAT SHIRT IS SHEER, GOD, DYING.

DYING.

I love you forever, Matsumoto, please never stop being your fabulous self.

♥ - Music Lovers [2009.03.24] talk + performance - Okay, seriously. Nothing is as great as picking out some random Arashi stuff to watch, settling on their Music Lovers appearance, and finding a bunch of fanboys in the audience for them. And even Ogura-san is there waving a glow stick for them.

I just. I love this band so much.

This one was kind of long and I watched it raw (since I'm not sure if it got subs or not?), but the performances were nice and the boys looked hot, so it was worth the time for me. Maybe not something I'd put at the top of my list if I were kind of behind on things, though. (Which I am, but nobody tells me what to prioritize in my watching, so I have to find things out for myself, hmph.)

It was kind of totally worth it for Ogura-san waving a glowstick and seeing fanboys in the audience with uchiwas.

Oh, and Nino totally getting groped by another dude on national TV. \:D/ Same for him turning right around and fucking with Miyagawa Daisuke, because he loves Daisuke.

AHA, WAIT.

Music Lovers [2009.03.24] talk + performance subbed - AHA, I THOUGHT IT WAS SUBBED. And it's even more delightful subbed, putting it much higher on my list of things to watch. Because, pretty much as soon as Nino starts talking, he starts ratting everyone out.

How they were backstage and were supposed to be watching Sho and being all UWAHHH THAT'S AMAZING, except they weren't! No, instead AIBA'S DAD BROUGHT FOOD YAYYY. So instead they spent the whole time eating spring rolls and going, "Wow, these are really good!" asdl;kfja;lskj;l crying. Nino totally yanks the rug out from under Sho because he loves him.

Also, they talk a little about how they come up with ideas for their large-scale concerts (as;dlfkjasl;kj even though I've already watched the dvd, just watching the preview clips again are amazing, god, they put on a fantastic concert) Sho says that Jun's sort of the central role, but everyone tosses ideas out there, which is interesting. Nothing we didn't already know, that Jun is the driving force behind their involvement in the concerts, but it's really neat to know that everyone pitches their own ideas in as well.

Plus, during this whole conversation bit, Jun is seriously making the most adorable face ever. It's just so cute that I want to scoop him up in a great big squishy hug.

Then it's Sho's turn to be congratulated on all he's done this year and woooow he's really accomplished and Nino pipes up YES HE IS EVEN THOUGH HE CAN'T DO A BACKFLIP. a;sldkfja;lksj wow, Nino is really, really messing with everyone on this show, he is clearly in a warm, snuggly mood. ♥ ....which sounds like I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not! That's how Nino shows he loves people!

Ogura-san's bit was really delightful, too. SIXTH MEMBER OF ARASHI INDEED, I love the caption guys on this show, too. Plus, Ogura-san says, well, I can see that they're going to be around for decades to come, so I'm going to go with them for the rest of my life! And sometimes I really do wonder what Ogura-san genuinely thinks of Arashi, because they're from such different generations and they get up to such crazy things and you'd think that most older people in Japan might be a little put off by all that craziness and yet. I dunno, sometimes I get the feeling that Ogura-san is genuinely fond of these guys and genuinely wants to keep working with them, even aside from them being a popular group.

And YES. Ogura-san is asked what kind of people the members of Arashi are, and he thinks they're great guys, saying that, for example, Ohno is always playing the fool, but he knows exactly what he's doing, it's a deliberate playing of the fool and THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT, OGURA-SAN. Because Ohno is very much Ohno, but you can see he's a little bastard on purpose sometimes. <3

Then Ogura-san says that, unexpectedly, Matsujun is the most adult of the group, even though he's young, he's got a good head on his shoulders. And Aiba is working really hard this year on his stage plays and, on top of that, the Chinese restaurant his parents run is really, really delicious. I LOVE THAT THEY'RE BRINGING AIBA'S RESTAURANT UP AGAIN LATELY. <3

And then Sho, when they interviewed together during the Olympics, Sho took more detailed notes and did more rescource checking than any other reporter and I just. a s;dlfkaslkj Arashi may get a lot of opportunities because they're a popular boyband, but they really do work their asses off when they get those chances. That is so much of what I love about them right there.

And Nino's a dedicated young man, HE'S SO GOOD AT MAGIC HE COULD LEAVE ARASHI AT ANY TIME and Nino's like NOOOO I'M STAYING IN ARASHI FOREVER and I just. I know this isn't necessarily Nino's dream job, there's probably a lot about being in a boyband that he hates, but he really does want to stick with these people forever. AND LOL LOL LOL.

Ogura-san says NINO'S A REALLY TOGETHER GUY. "When we go out to eat together, we go in a car, right? Even though there's a car park right in front of him, he will travel 15 minutes further just to park at the one that is 50 yen cheaper!"

I mean, I don't know how true that story is, it seems like the gas that it would take to travel the extra 15 minutes would be at least 50 yen, but. I could kind of believe that it would just BOTHER NINO until he actually did it.

And I just. I completely cried during that story. You know Ogura-san loves Nino when he's totally giving him shit on national television.

Then the performance of Believe is really fantastic and Nino gives Aiba crap about being covered in sweat for their first live of the year and just. al;skdjfa;lksj okay I totally bumped this up to the top of my list of things to catch up on because it was fabulous.

♥ - Making of Jidai PV Report subbed - This was just a short little thing, only about three minutes long, but it was delightful to watch Nino watching Sho eat chocolate and having Nino go around to ask Arashi questions.

It is sort of early on in their career, though, so you're going to REALLY want to feed Jun a sandwich. Seriously, Matsumoto. THIS IS NOT COOL. Not even if you were younger back then! D:<

It is worth watching the video to feel better about how Jun is now, though, and FOR THEIR HAIR. Oh my god it looks like everyone slept on wet hair, got up in the morning, grabbed a handful of product, slammed it through their hair, and went YEAH I'M GOOD. I kind of love it ridiculously.

Also worth it for Aiba apparently having grabbed the camera from Nino and is filming a sleeping Sho, getting closer and clooooser and clooooooser until Sho SHOOTS UP, AWAKE, like his My Bandmates Are About To Fuck With Me senses are tingling and Nino's voice as he whines, "Why did you turn the [camera] light on??" at Aiba, which is what woke Sho.

Aiba/Nino, fandom. WHY DO YOU NOT LOVE THEM MORE?

And then Sho/Nino where Sho snatches the camera away and then literally shoves the microphone into Nino's face as he fake-interviews him and it's just. His tiny evil BFF! Sho loves him!

Totally worth watching. :Db

♥ - Kimi no Tame ni Boku ga Iru PV Report subbed - This is also kind of worth watching, just for the background info on what it's like while they're filming a PV, but mostly because, oh, I am a terrible person, but.

They're doing fake interviewy stuff to goof off with each other and Sho asks what color Jun associations with spring. There's the usual pink and white and stuff, but also... black. And I just started laughing, especially through his explanation that, well, in winter a lot of white stuff happens, right? And when spring comes around... all the flowers are dead and black, right? And he was laughing at this train of thought, but.

Oh, Jun. I love you so much, you with your adorable emo kid phase. Let me guess, the world is a dark and dreary place and your heart is full of glass shards again, right?

.....I am okay with being a terrible person because I love him so much and he's obviously better now, but. al;skdjfal;kjs spring is associated with black, brb lolling forever.

Plus, he and Ohno are SUPER CUTE in this! Ohno is SUPER HIGH ENERGY and Jun's matching it as they're getting all excited about this super huge drawing Ohno did and you can tell they're just goofing off but a;slkdfjals;kj god I love Ohno/Jun.

You know what also never gets old? NINO LOOKING THE SAME AGE AS HE DOES NOW.

♥ - Arashi no Shukudai-kun #129 [2009.04.06] subbed - I am impressed at how fast this episode came out! And it's the one I've been wanting to watch because Aki's summary made it seem really awesome and I really love the current Shukudai-kun episodes. <3 And Shinagawa Hiroshi is great right from the beginning and Arashi totally jumps on the bandwagon to fucking with him by just completely ignoring him for, like, the first five minutes of the show.

And when they finally do talk to him, it's to give him a horrible nickname. a;sldkfjal;skj I love Ohno for always having a great response at these moments.

Also, I love Shinagawa for, as he's watching Jun cut the tomato tart, saying that Jun is a man that a work of art can be made from any angle. Just... what? XDDDD I mean, I sort of get what he's saying, but still... loooool.

Aiba is super adorable in the episode as well, like when they get to the nabe (the theme being tomatoes for this episode) and Aiba's like NEVER MIND THE TOMATO, THE MEAT IS REALLY GOOD and a;sldkfjal;skj that's Aiba for you. I will never get tired of his healthy eating habits.

ALSO SHO. SHO. Ogura-san says Sho's fine with eating hot foods (since the nabe is super hot, the guest had trouble with it and Jun was having trouble with it, too) and Sho BACKS AWAY, but tries it anyway because yeah he's totally good with hot foods. And then SPITS IT OUT WHEN IT'S TOO HOT. A+++++++ FOREVER, Shukudai-kun! Just. LOL.

I love the look on Sho's face, like he knows how this is going to go and yet he is attempting to BELIEVE IN HIMSELF anyway! Also, man, Sho is hot in this episode. *__* I love, after everyone has been told to eat the tomato to take away the spicy taste of the last dish so they can do the "safe!" motion, Sho is clearly setting himself up to be given the same cue to eat the tomato, but Shinagaway just says Go get some water then! and THE LOOK ON SHO'S FACE. It's kind of super hilarious. And even better when he does the "Saaaa" move with just the water. <3

Jun is kind of goofy this episode as well, but that's okay. He has nice hair again and wearing nice clothes, he's allowed to be goofy if he wants to. *__*

Then they move on to the image homework and it's neat to hear Motokariya talk about the mood on the set and how much fun it was and how everyone liked Shinagawa as the director. Ogura-san brings up Mizushima Hiro and how it's his first time playing a rebel and Shinagawa must be a good director to bring out that new side of an actor like that. Then Shinagawa talks about how Hiro's done all this stuff (national level soccer, graduated from Keio, lived overseas, etc.) and, okay, I admit. I kind of had to work hard not to go into fangirl mode just at the mention of all that stuff.

But the best part was when Shinagawa said, "He's perfect, but he can also be extremely goofy. We worked at a set where there were lots of bugs, [mimes smacking a bug on his arm] and he'd be like... 'Oh, that was just a birthmark.'" And I just. a s;ldfkjal;skj the description of perfect Mizushima Hiro being such an airhead makes me laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh.

Also, oh my god, Japan. If you do not get Hiro and Arashi in the same room on Shukudai-kun or even VS ARASHI, I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU. It would be so amazing, even if I think I might just explode from the sheer awesome of it. Especially, as Sho suggests, if Aiba and Hiro went into a direct confrontation.

It's one of those things like.

Japan could kick puppies or take candy from babies or dye everyone's hair an atrocious shade of blond and I would still forgive them instantly because they put Mizushima Hiro and Aiba Masaki in the same room together. THAT IS HOW MUCH I WANT IT, JAPAN.

Then Shinagawa says that Narimiya (the other actor from DROP) is another one like that, who doesn't go on variety shows much, but... when he does, he gets really into them! And, god, Japan. WHY did you not put Mizushima and Narimiya onto more variety shows?? Because it would have been so great omg.

(Though, I think Narimiya may have been on VS ARASHI? I'm not sure because holy crap am I ever so massively behind. orz)

And then. Then. Well, it was hard to miss this one, because it was kind of plastered all over the flist, but I still loved it anyway, because Arashi + tiny rocking horses will never get old. Especially because Nino totally fucks with Sho by saying SHO-SAN LOOKS KIND OF NAUGHTY LIKE THAT, despite that Jun is right beside him and sitting in the same pose.

Mostly this is because Sho will have the better reaction. Jun would just look over and and make Nino's head explode with the power of his mind, but Sho will play along! Also, Sho is Nino's BFF! Nino loves Sho! Therefore, Nino wants to fuck with Sho! <3

And I was kind of totally dying at Sho's attempts at rocking super fast because as;ldkfjasl;kjal;skj it looked kind of really awesome. And I love that Jun was trying super hard and, when Ogura-san goes to check the pedometers and gets to Jun's, he just starts laughing. Because Sho got 56, Motokari got 85, and Jun got... 7. as;dlkfjasl;kj lolling forever.

It was also pretty hilarious to watch Ohno going at his own pace for this, way slower than anyone else, and getting... 64. And then, dear sweet Sho says, "What's with those numbers? [after Shinagawa team got such high ones] When Matsujun got only 7?" And I like to think Jun smacked him backstage for bringing that up again.

Of course, Shinagawa team wins and the whole thing is super hilarious because, well. You can only air this kind of stuff on at night, that's how filthy it looked. :|b

I do like that Motokari got more and more into the show as it went on, she seemed to loosen up and start having more fun. She was cute on the rocking horses, but the chair race was even cuter! Same for Shinagaway just FLYING across the stage on his chair and Ohmiya crumpling up in pain on the other side of the stage afterwards. a;sldkfja;lsk I know it probably hurt like a motherfucker, but god Nino's face.

Totally, totally worth watching. <3333333
