Himitsu no Arashi-chan #34 [2008.12.11] subbed - So, I'd seen caps of this episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan and I knew about the t-shirts thing, but then! Subs! o/ And of the 1280x720 version! *LOVES* Plus, it's an Aiba/Ohno/Jun trio and a;sdlkfja;lksjslj I can't tell you how delighted I was by that. Jun with the two people he is weakest to! <3 Especially since Jun was kind of immediately touchy-feely with Ohno, practically beaming and looking ready to snuggle with Ohno. <3 <3 <3 Seriously, Jun almost never takes his hands off Ohno the entire time! <3
And this show proves that it loves us a lot by a) being smart and providing a range of t-shirt sizes and putting them in order and b) starting with a woman's size s t-shirt that they make Ohno try to fit into. They love us. Especially because, despite that Ohno's gained back some weight, he fits perfectly into it. a;sldkfja;lskjs
Or when Ohno's at around 50 t-shirts and Aiba and Jun actually do start cuddling with him and the look on Ohno's face and Jun clearly enjoyed that and a;sldkjfa;lkjsslkj I just kind of cracked up really, really hard.
Same for when it was Nino's message at the 100 t-shirts mark and a;sldkfjaslkj it was just pure promotion for Ryuusei no Kizuna and you can know the special t-shirt from Nino is going to be more promotion, but you still totally crack up when Jun pulls the thing out of its rainbow colored box and, yup, "Ryuusei no Kizuna, tomorrow night at 10pm"!
Or when they finally reach the halfway mark! And Jun leads Ohno over by the hand. God, Matsumoto, you adorable girl, you. Or! Aiba and Jun laughing so hard at Ohno when he couldn't get the food to his mouth because of all the t-shirts! Aiba finally taking pity on him and just feeding him! Even Ohno, as hard as he's trying to keep a neutral face, is kind of cracking up at the whole thing! And I love that Ohno's like, no! I haven't even swallowed once! when Aiba's about ready to hand him more food! AIBA. NOT ALL OF YOUR BANDMATES INHALE FOOD LIKE YOU DO.
But I love that, even as much as they're total bitches to Ohno, they're also adorable when they're worried it's getting to be too heavy for him at 124 t-shirts, so they immediately go get a chair for him. Aww. <3
It's also cute to watch them fanning Ohno when he gets too hot, just lifting up his shirt to fan underneath even though he said no, feeding him shaved ice to keep him cool. But!, the announcer says, this will cause an unexpected tragedy later! My immediate reaction was to LOL and go OH GOD HE'S GOING TO HAVE TO USE THE BATHROOM, ISN'T HE? LOL.
I'm a terrible person, shut up. I accept this.
...........also, when they were stopping for a minute because Ohno's "stomach hurt", did Jun... did Jun just sit on Ohno's knee? I swear he totally fucking did.
OHNO/JUN PORNO FANDOM.
WE WANTS THE PRECIOUS.
God, I love Jun. It's like he does these things to make me happy.
I also totally loved the playback of all the poses that Ohno did, set to A*RA*SHI, which is a little touch, but as;ldkfja;lskj so much fun. The whole thing was super, super fabulous, really and just. God bless the fandom for subbing so that I would pick it up to watch early on in my catch up because that was totally worth it.

Arashi no Shukudaikun #112 [2008.12.01] subbed - So, Daigo is super adorable right from the beginning and asd;fljkasl;kj the food section actually made me super, super hungry for once. :<
Though, it was totally worth the episode for Aiba being adorable about how you have to make sure you're ready for the daifuku + cheese and then banging himself in the face with the fork when he went to eat it. as;dlkfja;lskj I love you forever, Aiba. And even Sho is like, "....GENIUS." a;sldkfjasl;jk *cracked up*
The episode is really cute and fun to watch, but there's not really a lot for me to comment on, at least not until they get to the Ailand game and it's one where you choose a line to do, then they peel off the sticker to reveal the context of the line and, of course, Aiba demonstrates.
So, what is the context for Aiba's, "....EH?" line? ACCUSED OF BEING AN UNDERWEAR THIEF.
OF COURSE.
OF COURSE THAT'S WHAT AIBA GETS.
Though, it's not like he actually has to act for that one, considering he is an underwear thief. And I'm only surprised that Nino didn't bring that up. XDDDD
It's also totally worth it for the way Nino's face totally cracks into a smile after he delivers his line. And a;sdlkfja;slkj his voice when he complains about the context of his scene, that a father wouldn't tell a son that he's not his real dad over dinner!
Jun was totally adorable with his surprised, "EEH!?" and actually appropriate for the context but then. Then Daigo gets the TURNED INTO A GIRL SUDDENLY ONE MORNING and he goes "....SERIOUSLY?" and asdl;kfjasl;jk I love Sho a whole lot for going, "Omg, why did you just sound happy right then??" And I'm only sad that one of Arashi didn't get that. .....I'm only sad that Sho didn't get that one.
And of course Ohno chooses the DOT DOT DOT one. asd;flkjasl;kjasl;kj it's perfect for him and asd;lfkjasl;kj crying at the way his face hardly even moves. Then Jun has to go again and Aiba's like "Do the HEY! one! That seems Matsujun-ish! Okay? :D?" and Jun just sort of stares for a moment and then Aiba just goes on right ahead and as;dlfkjas;lkjas I love them.
Especially when-- as;dlkfjasl;kj I know what they mean but-- Jun's context is, "Suddenly, your wife of many years, starts to talk about divorce." and Nino's like, "Well, that's a difficult one." and as;ldkjfas;lkj I'm sure it is very difficult for Jun to act like he's been married to a woman for years. He actually did a really good, "....h-hey....", though. <3
Sho's was totally adorable, even though I thought the same thing as Ogura-san--if he bumped into you, shouldn't you be facing the other way? Also, Sho hiding behind Ohno in embarrassment was SUPER SUPER ADORABLE OMG. I'm often times hit or miss on the Ailand games, but this one was totally excellent. <3

Oshareism 12.21.2008 (Aiba Masaki) - So, I decided to watch this one, since I was curious about it and I was originally going to wait for subs of it, but there was a
summary post to go along with it that made it easier to get a better grasp of what the conversation was about. Not that you needed that much help, because Aiba telling stories about his totally epic fail all through life is pretty great on its own.
Especially the part where people keep laughing at him instead of, you know, helping him. Also, the photographs? Yeah, I'm totally not surprised that that's the kind of thing you get from Aiba, even at a young age. XD
It has some interesting moments all throughout it, but I find myself hoping someone'll sub it properly. *rolls around and stares at fandom*

TV LIFE 12.20008 partial translation - And, so, in other news, Ohmiya are gay together, which kind of shocked me, I don't know about you. But my favorite bit:
The moment you want hug something tightly:
[Jun:] When I watched "Shimura Dobutsuen" and Aiba chan was playing with baby Lion cubs. They were Cho Kawaii. It was like a big cat. I especially liked their faces. But they grow up so quickly, So I want to hug them before that. (Laugh)
Yes, Jun. It was the baby lion cubs that made you feel that way. I totally believe you.

Only Star 081201: "Secret of Arashi - Character ver." - Jun translation - Okay, this was just too damn adorable and I love love love those whole "Who is the most ____ in Arashi?" when they ask the members themselves. Jun's answers are great, I loved all of them. My favorite, though, is the predictable one:
Who gets lonely most easily in Arashi?
Aiba-kun & me. Whenever we have a meal together, after we finish eating, me & Aiba-chan will always say "Let's stay a little longer" [laughs].
AWWWWW. STOP MAKING ME WANT TO SQUISH YOU, MATSUMOTO.
I also really liked
Nino's interview, the answers he gave were interesting, but the best part was what the fans thought of him, that it wasn't just empty praise like "you have a nice smile" or "he's really cool!", instead they gave slightly more thoughtful answers and you could kind of tell how much Nino really liked that.

Hey Hey Hey [2008.12.05] truth performance + Hey Hey Hey [2008.12.05] One Love performance - So, I'd watched the talk portion of this, but not the performances, which I also wanted to catch up on. Especially when they're in that gorgeous super HD quality. *__* And these outfits are definitely some of my favorites. *__* I mean, I always like the red/white/black combination that they do for truth, but still. *__*
And, really, I can't express how much I love fandom for uploading the really super high quality stuff because the performances are always fun, but it's kind of a whole different ~*experience*~ when you have this giant file and you can see all the little details and you all shut up. I do not care how much of a star-struck idiot I am for this band. *hiss*
Anyway, I really, really love these performances because they've got these amazing colors and the stages have looked amazing lately and their clothes have looked amazing and the camera work is really nice and they're like delicious little mini-PVs.
It was nice to see truth again, I have yet to get tired of this song or the dance that goes with it (did they cut the crab walk at the end? if so, I approve so hard) and the way everything comes together for it. In contrast, the One Love performances are never my favorite, there's just a little too much standing around and not actually dancing that much for my taste.
But it is still really pretty and totally worth watching. I still really like the song and it's so much fun to see the audience delighting in it, too. <3

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #114 [2008.12.15] - I still have a bunch of subs to go through, but, well. :| I know what happens in this episode. :| I am weak to the plunking of hats onto Aiba's head by Jun. :| Shut up. :|
The beginning of the episode is kind of slow but as soon as they get to the food homework segment asd;lkfjalskjslkj it is seriously the most adorable thing ever. Aiba's trying to put his Santa hat on properly and apparently it's not fitting quite right, so he keeps taking it off to adjust it and it's leaving his hair in total disarray. So what does Jun do?
Why, he goes EXCUSE ME FOR A MOMENT and snatches the hat away from Aiba and his now flyaway hair and just yanks the hat over Aiba's head to finally get it in place and as;ldkfjal;skjsl oh my god Matsumoto Jun. You stop being so cute right this minute! It is embarrassing to have this sort of reaction to you!
Especially when he isn't quite satisfied with it, so he keeps adjusting it on Aiba's head for a bit longer and I think I seriously watched that about four times through. It's one of those really adorable moments that's just. They're so adorable together and so easily in each other's space and Jun doesn't even think twice about it and Aiba's not OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING, no, instead he just stands still and lets Jun groom him properly.
And, okay, the guest was really kind of cute when it took her a little too long to realize OH HEY THE CAKE IS CUT OUT INTO THE SHAPE OF A HEART! and Arashi teased her about it. Plus as;ldkfjasl;kj that cake looked really, really good.
THEN MORE AIBA/JUN CUTENESS. \o/ It's like, it's a Christmas themed episode and that also means its near Aiba's birthday and Jun is so adorable and happy and when Aiba's having trouble spearing both layers of the cake, Jun is like, "*sweetly* What are you doing~?" and Aiba is super adorable as he answers and Jun lightly smacks him on the head and asl;efkjal;skj you know that's exactly what they're like.
AND THEN. PANDA CAKE. OMFG THAT IS THE CUTEST CAKE I HAVE EVER FUCKING SEEN.
And then they're going to make Sho cut the cutest little cake ever! And then Jun's like, hm, no, maybe that's not such a great idea and gently takes the knife away from Sho! And then they make Ohno cute the cutest little cake ever! And as he's sawing into it's adorable little head, he can barely stand to look at the carnage! a;sldkfjalskj it was so adorable omg.
And then Jun just sort of gleefully goes for cutting the cutest little cake ever up into a bunch of pieces and Nino totally is like OMG THAT'S SO SAD and as;dlfkjasl;kjas
But like that's enough for this show! No! Instead, they give me yet another time where everyone gets a plateful of cake (also worth the watch right there, FEED THEM LOTS OF CAKE, OKAY, STAFF-TACHI) and yet another time where Aiba and Jun practically clink forks together and are all sweetly, "Merry Christmas~" with each other and asd;lkfjal;skjs I'm weak okay. :| I know a lot of it is that they just happened to be standing next to each other, but they didn't show anyone else doing the same thing? But showed Aiba and Jun doing it twice?
And, seriously, Jun had to be in a really good mood not to fight too hard at being nominated to cut the wedding cake with the guest. I can make a few guesses as to why~. 9__9 (Well, no, he would have been a good sport either way, but shut up.)
Ohno stealing all the strawberries was adorable, too. I kept watching him eat strawberries and thinking, "Did he just take another--" and then a;lsdkjfl;aksj they totally call him on it and Sho smacks him and it's adorable. And then Sho follows Ohno around the set because apparently one smack wasn't enough and then Nino throws a cushion at him for it and a;sldkfj;alskj FANDOM.
I DEMAND THE OHNO/SHO/NINO PORNO, OKAY.
The whole romantic ability check thing would probably benefit from translations, but it was cute nonetheless and the guest kind of reminded me of Shibata Rie-chan in the sense that she just totally got into the spirit of the show with all of them and totally criticized them when they failed to be funny or romantic.
But Jun was great because he-- he did the little skit, having to come up with a good excuse for why he was late and make it romantic and then he made the guest do the hard part of the skit instead of just making Arashi do it. He is the most adorable bitch ever, I love him so much.
I also really, really love
capncosmo's
Shukudai-kun staff blog translation for this episode, they are just wonderful people. Also, more footage for an unaired SP, hm? I love those things. <3

TSD - [2007.07.14] - Aiba + Gussan cuts subbed - So, I admit, my eyebrows went shooting up at the beginning of this, with Aiba coming out in a dog collar and a leash, but, well. I'm not about to quest Japan giving me nice things. Plus, Yamaguchi was totally adorable right from the beginning in this and it's nice to see subs with inter-JE action and as;dlkjfa;sljk seriously. A french bulldog mom adopting a baby tiger should not be this fucking cute, it really ought to be totally weird, but it kind of is just totally adorable.
And a;sldkfjasl;kj the interaction between Aiba and Yamaguchi is great, you can tell they both totally had fun with that and of course they were doing things on purpose, Aiba totally ran off to the side and tried to escape on purpose and Yamaguchi ran after him to scrub hands through his hair in that "Aww, what a cute little kouhai!" and as;dflkjaslkj I love that this is all done while Aiba kind of totally has a few inches on Yamaguchi. a;lsdkfjasljk he is a good kouhai!
Plus, yeah, the baby animals were so freaking cute and it was really fun to watch. I don't have a lot to say about it, but I totally recommend it for the super, super adorableness and how fast it really flies by.
♥ -
"Johnny's Film Festa" (2006) Ryo, Nakamaru & Matsujun at combat game - This was really interesting to watch! It was fun just for the inter-JE stuff on its own (Ryo and Jun and Nakamaru) but also for the stuff they talked about, it was a really fun and hilarious conversation, they really had some great chemistry. Ryo and Jun especially, but that's hardly a surprise. XD
What I found especially interesting was Jun's surprise at hanging out with your band members as much as Nakamaru did with Ueda or Ryo did with his band members, because this is back in 2006 and I want to say that's around the time (that general year) that they started getting even closer as a band? But I think they also spend a ton of time together, like they see each other every day and they seem to get along better and better, the more they spend time together, but at that point they probably still needed their indvidual space.
But, hell, I also think there's an aspect of Arashi probably not having the same definition of "hanging out together" that maybe other bands do. (I say teasingly, mind.) Like maybe Jun's definition of, "Omfg, no, we do not spend that much time together!" isn't quite the same as what other people would define it as. XDDDD
♥ -
Popolo 2009.02 interview translation - So there's a lot of adorable gay here (shocking, coming from Arashi) and I was all smooshy happy about Aiba's talk about Jun (shut up, every last one of you) but then. Then I got to Jun's.
He goes on for quite awhile about how awesome Aiba's hair is and how it always fits his character and looks easy to style and then says:
But I've never told him about this. It's kinda gross for me to praise him like that [laughs].
I kind of choked with laughter right about then. Even Matsumoto knows how incredibly girly of him it was to say that and how that really, really came off.
Also.
What he says about Nino.
Comparing him to a dog. A bulldog, even.
as;dlfkjaslkj never stop being total bitches to each other, you guys! <3
Also, Jun is totally squishy for Sho, because Sho is totally the good mommy of the group and stays up all night doing stuff for them and always replies to their mails and stuff, which you can tell just totally makes Jun melt into a puddle of goo.
Also, in the
Ohno + Sho part of that interview, Ohno says, re:Nino:
I also like him when he bullies Arashi's manager. He says he is just joking with the manager but from how I see it, I think he is really being mischievious [laughs]. I think it's cute when he tricks/tease people like a kid.
God, I love it when they're evil little shits together. <3
Also, NINO BULLYING ARASHI'S MANAGER. GOD, I LOVE THE LITTLE FERRET-FACED ONE.
I will never, ever get tired of Arashi talking about each other like this. <3

Music Station SP [2008.12.26] One Love truth - talk + performance - I was planning to wait for the HD version of this, but then Ho was telling me about Jun's outfit and oh my god.
Just. Oh, Jun. Sweetheart. I love you so much. You and your fabulous, fabulous ermine-trimmed coat.
I mean, all of them are fantastic.
Ohno's HOT PINK PANTS that are way too big for him!
Nino's POLKA-DOTTED SHIRT that comes with a short vest that I actually like, but was so short that it kept riding up so I originally thought he had a matching polka-dotted cumberbund, but it's actually just his vest riding up so you can see the shirt underneath it.
Sho with his HOT PINK STRIPED JACKET and ever since
honooko said, "Beetlejuice called and he wants his jacket back." that is all I could think about. I just. I love his shirt so much.
Aiba actually being the only one to pass as semi-acceptable!
But Jun.
Matsumoto Jun.
That is actually not a fur-trimmed coat. That is an additional accessory that he put on, because it moves separately from the coat and I just. as;dlfjkas;ljk I love him.
asd;fljkas;ldkjfas I just love the idea of Jun looking this outfit over, the metallic trench and the skinny pants and the semi-sheer gloves and giving himself a critical eye and going, "You know what this outfit needs? Fur accessories. Yes."
Not to mention the studded gloves and the slate blue metallic short trench coat that comes down to about mid-thigh and the skinny black pants that are tucked into riding boots and it's like Jun wanted to give me the best Christmas present he could.
Aside from makeouts with Aiba on camera, I mean.
And I would really like to know how you go from the really awesome red and black theme they have for the truth performances to... hot pink. Not that I don't love them forever, mind.
