Drabble (Ficlet?) a Day #17

Mar 31, 2008 14:44

Wasn't TFP2 supposed to be out today? After yesterday's scare, I DEMAND IT NOW. WHERE IS IT WHERE IS IT WHERE IS IT WHERE IS IT?

Also, you know what's stupid? I'm looking at the themes for this month's 31_days and thinking, "Maybe that wouldn't be so difficult since I technically have all 30 of my ficlets done already..." and ad;slfkjaslkj I blame ( Read more... )

gay rainbow band, meme, aiba/nino/jun, fic, drabble-a-day, my dignity says it'll see me in hell, rpf

Before I read: forgyoza has the links, I think. ^-^ And now off to the fic!

It looks like they're still uploading for now, but they point out the clubbox they got it from. (I only checked a couple of the major ones, which are all still in the process of uploading it, which drives me crazy.) *claws at the walls*

Bless you for pointing it out. *___*♥

Ah, I thought they had at least the first few links up already, but I must have been mistaken! Sorry! ^-^ (I have never figured out how to use clubbox. But then, I've never figured out how to use IRC either.)

clubbox is evil and yet I still love it because there are so many awesome things on it. It's easy enough once you find a good tutorial and get the hang of it (and hopefully find clubboxes that list things in english or you can recognize the characters for your various shows), but... well, I shouldn't be that way. At least it's better than WinMX. *twitch*

(They do have the first few links up, but nothing in its entirety yet. *sadface*)

I just realized that I'm actually not quite sure about the idea behind clubbox, whether it's like a torrent or a direct download, or something else entirely. Mmh. Might have to google that. Or search Wikipedia. ^-^
(What's WinMX? I've always been lucky enough to either have people torrenting things for me, or having a direct download, so I'm really not familiar with most things! ^^")

(You could at least download the first few links? Or is your internet so fast that you're already done with all of them?)

I'm not precisely sure about the idea behind it, either, but I assume it's sort of like a direct download thing, rather than peer to peer like BitTorrent. (Since you don't have to worry about files disappearing in mid-download, just that they're taken down out of the clubboxes if no one downloads them for a certain amount of time.) WinMX was basically like Kazaa or the other p2p file sharing programs.

I think you can mostly get along without using them unless you really want EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING. (Though, most Arashi stuff gets uploaded to comms like forgyoza and I only hit up the clubboxes for ultra rare stuff, different versions, or when they get it out before forgyoza can/I want to leave things to download overnight.) It's deeply annoying to me because the sites only work in IE, Firefox won't display them.

And I'm downloading the last part now and I grabbed the second part off clubbox, so *CLAWS AT THE WALLS* FIFTEEN MORE MINUTES UNTIL I CAN WATCH.

Ah, thanks! ^-^

My internet doesn't like torrents (as in "they won't work for me at all"), so I always sort of begged them from other people who had torrented them. ^^" Worked quite well, too. ^___^

Clubbox might be a bit tempting for some things, but mostly, I get along without it very well! ^-^

Make a post about it when you've watched it! ^___^ (OK, that's not an obligation, so you can do whatever you feel like. I do love reading your thoughts about things, though.)

I hate torrents, too. I can use them, but I'll get maybe a tenth of the speeds/seeds I should be getting and I'll only use BT when I'm forced with no other alternative. (I've never seen clubbox go faster than 50kpbs, but it's steady and you can leave it running in the background, it doesn't interfere as much as BT does. Though, I think it was lady_gemma who once had a download go at, like, 500kpbs, which stunned me.)

I'd stick to the download comms, if you don't mind waiting just a short while for things, yeah.

asd;flkjaslkj DOWNLOAD IS DONE. *TWIRLS* I've got 3/4ths of a post to do, so I hope I can! ♥ (And thank you! It's good to know people aren't ready to stone me for the constant chatter yet. ^_~)

And thank you! It's good to know people aren't ready to stone me for the constant chatter yet. ^_~

Are you kidding?! I LOVE your posts!

I tend to be a bit reluctant to fangirl something, because when I was younger, I often fangirled stuff that everyone else thought "uncool" or "childish" (like Manga and Anime, for example - when I started with that, everyone else still thought that those were "weird" and only consisted of Sailormoon and stuff like that), so when I liked something, I tended to not talk about it. So, despite the enjoyable reading, I love fangirl posts like yours, because they make me more fangirlish myself, which makes me braver in admitting to people that yes, I am a fan of something weird and obscure, and if they don't like it, they can just go away. ^___^ And, as I said, they're so much fun to read! XD

I think I go on about stuff on LJ a lot because... well, most of the people I know IRL know that I like anime/manga/video games and we discuss it occasionally, but the subject doesn't come up much because there's a time and a place for these things. So a lot of the energy I have over these things gets poured into LJ posts about them instead. (And I can totally understand being reluctant to fangirl about things, there's a bad rep on fangirls for a reason often times. orz)

And if I can entertain others/get others to fangirl with me, then that's even better. ♥♥♥

Fic!

"You were ignoring me," Nino says simply

...Y-yes, that is Nino. *crying*

Because obviously, when he's nice enough to interrupt Jun's sleep to make him relax (because obviously, being asleep is not relaxation enough!), then Jun should better pay attention! And to him, not to Aiba, no matter how hot Aiba is in bed. (And he IS hot here! *___* I love the description of Aiba pulling Jun's legs up with his hands on his thighs! *_____* SO HOT!)

LOVE IT!

(And I have to say, it's also very nice to read Aggressive!Nino! XD I read some Nino-centric fics in the last few days where he was described as very tiny, vulnerable, emo, submissive etc.; and while I don't mind that characterization and can see some of it in him, I have to confess that I love the prankster-side of him just a little more...^^")

I have about 85% Arashi icons now and it's still not enough. MORE ARASHI ICONS! ;__;<3 beckerbell March 31 2008, 20:48:56 UTC
That's Nino for you. When he loves you, he'll interrupt your sleep and demand you pay attention to him or else he'll get cranky and mess with your things. Because he likes you. Even if you are in bed with the other person that you're ridiculously fond of and is super-hot in bed, that doesn't matter. PAY. ATTENTION. TO. NINO. >:|

I'm really glad you liked it, thank you! (Especially the parts with Aiba because every time I see a fic that gets tons of praise for treating Aiba like he doesn't know what to do in bed, a little more of my soul dies.)

(I probably shouldn't be one to talk, given the things I write, but... well, I do agree. I mean, I generally like other people on top with Nino, but I also love Nino being a little bastard and he would totally use Aiba as a way to distract Jun and keep him off his game so that Nino could just totally sideswipe him. Normally, I have trouble figuring out how I see the dynamics of Nino and Jun ending up, but you add Aiba into the mix and get Jun distracted by him... yeah, Nino is way ( ... )

I'm still not over the fact that I have more than six icons at the moment. kegom April 1 2008, 00:35:29 UTC
Nino reminds me of a cat sometimes that will always lie down on the part of the paper (or the page of the book) that you're trying to read. XD

asfdljkngd OF COURSE AIBA KNOWS WHAT TO DO IN BED! v-v" OK, so I wouldn't put it past him to manage to fall off the bed during it, but that's not because he doesn't know what to do and more because he's, well, Aiba. They very likely all know what to do in bed! E-even if Sho might not have practise with any position but the missionary one and Ohno might be in danger of drifting off in thought if you take too long with whatever you're doing... XDBut that's just one thing in fanfics that boggles my mind sometimes...^^" It's the same thing with ages - I sometimes read highschool AU's for fun and it always astounds me how people get put into classes together. I could easily imagine Nino and Jun being in one class as first-years and I could imagine Aiba being a second-year student. I might even, with a stretch, imagine Ohno being a third year student with Sho, despite the fact that he's more than a ( ... )

Either that or he swipes at the pages until he knocks it right out of your hands and then plants himself right in your lap.

YES. Aiba might get a little excited and whack someone in the face--or, knowing Aiba, get whacked in the face when he moved too soon--but we know for a fact that he has experience. I'm sure they all do. I mean, there's that one story that Ohno told about a concert tour where they stayed in a hotel for a couple of nights and all Sho did was watch porn. (I still laugh like a maniac every time, especially picturing Sho's horrified DON'T TELL THEM THAT!!!! expression.) They're guys. They know.

And it astounds me that people think these guys would be afraid of sex or that they wouldn't like it or that they wouldn't know what to do. I can see some wiggle room for being nervous about it, especially because they're Japanese guys and there's a lot of pressure on them to do it right (since I get the impression that sex is rarely talked about with any real helpfulness), but... still. They're 20-something guys.

The thought of Aiba whacking someone in the face during sex cracks me up. XDD Especially if the other person is Jun. XD

there's that one story that Ohno told about a concert tour where they stayed in a hotel for a couple of nights and all Sho did was watch porn.WHAT, REALLY?! *breaks down crying* I-I can just imagine the scene: Sho in his hotel room bed, under the covers (with his hand in a suspicious place), eyes glued to the TV screen - and occasionally one of the others will wander into his room to ask him something/get something from him, throw a short look at the screen and wander out again, announcing that Sho-chan is "still doing it". XDD Well, all but Aiba, of course, who immediately settles down on Sho's bed to watch it with him, until Sho, politely but with clenched teeth, tells him to please leave him alone to watch his porn in peace. XD ( ... )

....this was probably better saved for in the morning anyway. ;__; beckerbell April 1 2008, 04:58:29 UTC
I can't find the interview offhand, of course, but I remember the story from somewhere and it makes sense to me because, to my mind, Sho is always the accidental perv. Like, he's not constantly thinking about it like I could believe certain other members are, but he's got a perverted streak to him. Every so often he comes out with something totally ecchi-minded, so I can totally just see him spending an evening watching a porn marathon.

The image of everyone else wandering in and commenting that, oh, he's still at it or Aiba cheerfully plopping down onto the sofa to watch as well until Sho grinds out that could he please leave is kind of totally cracking me up, ILUSM.

I could buy the whole "not knowing what to do"/"afraid of it" thing if it were explained with the fact that it's their first time having sex with someone from their band;Yeah, same here. You'd have to be careful with it because they're not nervous pre-teens about to have sex for the first time, they know how things go, but... I imagine it something a little like the ( ... )
