Well.
It's one thing to "know" that it's gone. To know that it was only a few hundred feet in from the beach and the storm surge was 20'-30' and of course, it's gone.
It's another thing to hear someone who has been down there tell you, "Yeah, it's gone. Nothing left."
It's something else entirely to see it on video.

Pause it at 5:28. See how the road makes an upside-down L? See the horse-shoe shaped driveway to the left of the bend in the L? Yeah, that's my dad's driveway. That pile of rubble is his "house." (For reference, the blue spot on the right side of the screen is that memorial thing with the anchor, in the Triangle Park across from where Ft. Maurepas was.)
