It is difficult to work up the oomph to go to work when 1) you only have to work 3 hours (due to working the other 5 earlier in the week, and 2) your boss won't be there, so the only thing you'll be doing is waiting for the phone to ring or the email to come in. *sigh*
I have a wasp nest above my front door, probably a paper wasp nest. It looks honeycomb-like, as in the pictures Google Images found for me. So one of my tasks later today is to acquire the wasp spray that you can aim from 27 feet away and attack - after dark, of course. Any advice, other than to cover myself up and be ready to be elsewhere directly afterward?
Also, I figure my flist probably knows how to find the following: 1) a chronological list of Star Trek novels (i.e., a list of where they fit in the Star Trek universe, not the order in which they were published), and 2) the same for the Star Wars novels. Anyone? I'm considering attempting to catch up with both, but I don't know where to start, even.
I just received the
Star Wars: The Essential Atlas yesterday. Um, wow. For anyone who loves a) Star Wars, b) maps, and c) fictional history and politics (I looooove universes with huge backstory), this is a must-buy. I love it.
