A question for the grammarians among us

Jul 09, 2009 06:48

My coworker K and I were driving ourselves a bit nuts yesterday. She was trying to figure out whether it should be "The meeting minutes have been posted" or "The meeting minutes has been posted". Because although minutes has an s on the end, it's a single document. To me have sounds more correct and has just sounds weird, but I'm thinking has may be more correct. I'm not really sure. Anyone know better than K and I?

(Honestly, it's not even all that important in the scheme of things; most of the people she sent that message to probably wouldn't even notice one way or the other. But we're both just nitpicky enough that we would. Hee.)
