Birthday, life, etc.

Overall, I guess I'd say life is good. Nice start to a journal entry I think. = )
My birthday weekend was incredible and being home was amazing. I needed the break badly. I got back on the 25th, the actual day of, and went out to dinner with my family which was great and oh man, non-Mather food was exciting. Thursday I didn't do much of anything, but Amalia came over for a few hours and we chatted and caught up. Friday I got a haircut which is really nice, I got like three inches trimmed off (I hadn't gotten my hair cut since last April!) but still kept some length so I'm happy with it. And finally finally finally we picked Danny up at the airport and went home. We ate dinner together in the house with my parents while they were all getting to know each other and then lit a fire where the two of us just kind of took it easy for a bit. Seeing him was the best feeling EVER. The next day we took it easy in the morning but he had started to get sick the night before so I got him so Advil cold. We went into Manhattan and saw "The Fantastiks" and then came back and hung out with and went to dinner with Ami and her boyfriend Matt. I think that was my favorite night I've had in a long time. We went to California Pizza Kitchen and just chatted, ate, and relaxed together. She got me the "Across the Universe" DVD for my birthday which I was thrilled about, and she made me a purse out of (get this)....condoms. It was freaking hilarious. She stapled together packages of like, blue ones, reds, glow in the dark, extra large, durex, trojan, etc. Surprinsgly, it looked really cute all put together, lol. I didn't take it back to school so it's sitting at home but I left it in tact because it's really really funny. That night after CPK we lit a fire again with all four of us and they'd brought over champagne which we drank and just enjoyed. Yesterday was really sad because Danny's sickness (which we now think is the flu) had taken full effect and he is not well right now. He woke up with a full cough that sounds awful, runny nose, sneezing, fever, etc. We gave him more medicine and my mom made him chicken soup, and that held him over enough that we were able to visit my grandmother for like half an hour but other than that he was sooooo run down and I'm really worried. We got back at like 2 (we'd woken up late again) and it was really sad because it was our last hour together and we didn't talk, didn't do anything, I just lay there holding him and we were quiet while he tried to feel better. He's at a doctor's appointment right now and I'm currently downing vitamin c and echinacea (meds that boost your immune system) to try to avoid getting what he has. We had a great time together and I'm sure he'll eventually be fine, I just feel really bad for him because he is so sick and it sucks that there's nothing I can do aside from being there to talk to and give support. That's another reason our separation was difficult. Because I was there to take care of him and now I'm not. It just sucks. We're hoping the next time I see him will be in a few weeks during some of my spring break and he'd visit me at home again. Hopefully he'll be better.
In other news, "Urinetown" is coming along pretty well. Gerry finally cast all the roles and I am Little Becky Two Shoes which I'm happy about. Hopefully Danny will be coming up to Trinity for that to see my show and then it will be summertime where I can hopefully visit for longer than a weekend. Spring break is only in like a week and a half and since today was a SNOW DAY I only have classes for four days the next two weeks because I'm leaving early to go to Florida with my family for a few days (not seeing Danny then). But of course it's the most difficult time before break because it's midterms so woo. Speakingo of which, I better end this for now so I can go get some work done and finish choreographing for my jazz midterm since it's due on Thursday. 'Till next time.
