We had a good weekend - we have been on this health food, exercise, no drinking thing for the last week - it is going really well!
On sunday we went in a sailing race with tommys uncle and aunty - it was great! tommy and i dont know how to sail, so it was great to learn - you shoulda seen us running around this massive yacht pulling on all kinds of ropes and putting up sails - we were awesome!! we did so well in the race too.

Since we saved so much money on not buying drinks over the last week/weekend, we went out to a lovely little restaurant for dinner - it was cheap too! (haha)

We got home and watched the movie "Big Fish". it was really sweet- but after that tommy went super quiet-
Turns out he felt a bit sad about his dad (died just over 2 years ago) and we had spent the whole day with his uncle and aunty (his dads closest sister) and we all talked about his dad alot (once when we all stuffed up the process of putting up the parachute sail, Janice cracked up laughing and said "tommy, your dad is LAUGHING at us all right now!" - kinda a sad/sweet thing to think about. I think tommy feels a bit closer to his dad every time we go sailing too, since it was his dads major passion.)

Anyway, Big Fish is about a boys father and death.. so it was a pretty interesting - we lay in bed talking about his dad all night.
We talk about him without reservation anyway, but it went alot deeper this time.
I asked every question under the sun about his dad, and tommy answered them SO quickly and with so much urgency, it was as if he'd prepared answers and had been waiting for someone to ask those questions for 2 years now, but everyone dances around the subject.

SO it was a wicked weekend - lots of family time which was awesome.

Tommy goes to Baltimore for wednesday and thursday for a stupid conference :(
Then it's Thanksgiving, then it's only a week till Mexico AND it is our one year anniversary!
