I remember Playing With Fire from the profiler_fans site back in the day - it was really well-done and I'm glad you're building it into an original fic.

I'm glad there are so many people on my flist doing Fandom Snowflake this year!

Thanks. I worry some about people finding out about the original fic having fanfic origins, and thinking less of it because of that. I've never read 50 Shades of Gray, but I know people who dismiss it because of its fanfic origins rather than however well or poorly it's actually written. I don't want people prejudiced against my baby.

Yeah, I think there are two schools of thought out there when it comes to FSoG and similar novels, the school that automatically believes that anything that comes from fanfic has to be crappy and the school that knows that the quality of fanfic is as variable as the quality of profic/published fic.

I haven't read the FSoG series either, but after skimming a few excerpts I can think of dozens of examples of fanfic that are better written . Unfortunately there are still a lot of people coming from that mind-set of fanfic = wrong or not "real" writing, so I can see where you'd be cautious about how you present your work.

Thanks. I know I could make them busier, but I like to try and keep things simple. I mean plenty of my icons are just cropped and icon sized. I do actual photoshopping and text adding for some, but I have to have a clear concept of what I want to do with them.
