Agreed absolutely on the Sherlock cast, especially Mark Gatiss. The two leads really make their roles their own and have some great chemistry together (however one wants to read it), but it's nice to see the supporting cast getting some love. Gatiss sells all the different sides of Mycroft - the pompous government official; the ruthless string-puller; the protective older brother - and fits them together seamlessly. I always enjoy watching him (and writing about him, which I need to do more).

I also like your thoughts on Hero Coats. I always forget whether you've seen Firefly, but Mal Reynolds wears one, too!

Thanks!

Absolutely! Martin may not be my most favorite Watson ever, but I do love his chemistry with Benny. It makes slashing their Sherlock and Watson easy.

Heh. I know I've "Gone to the Slash Side" in my years online, but Sherlock is a fandom that reminds me there have always been some relationships that I felt had a lot of homoerotic subtext. Sherlock and Watson is one. The real indication of how slashy I've gotten is not my Sherlock/Watson shipping, but my Mycroft/Lestrade shipping. That is truly slashy of me.

*Nods.* Gatiss makes Mycroft a wonderfully complex character that is easy to see both as Sherlock Holmes big brother, and as a character in his own right.

I also like your thoughts on Hero Coats.

Thanks, again!

I always forget whether ( ... )
