This was different. He was use to being what was considered human. So many things didn't qualify to some. Not just vampires and lycanthropes, for some it was enough to be a witch or a psychic. Believe in the wrong things or be able to use one sense too many and you were one of the monsters. Edward hunted the monsters. He was Death. Something had opened his inner eye. Now Edward was one of them, at least to some. Question was did he feel like he'd become a monster? He could see and feel things he couldn't before. That should make him a better hunter. There was just one problem. The hollow places inside him--the dead places that had been emptied out to make him a better killing machine--were filling in. Edward was feeling things that he'd forgotten how to. It could kill him.
