A Couple of Fives and a Quote That Makes Me Smile

Mar 14, 2010 13:10

After kajivar posted this link I got to feeling like posting my Top Five Favorite Disney Animated Features. So, here they are...

Disney Animated Top Five
1. The Little Mermaid (Ariel, Eric, Ursula)
2. Sleeping Beauty (Philip, Samson, Maleficent)
3. Beauty and the Beast (Belle, Beast, Mrs Potts )
4. Mulan (Mulan, Shang, Mushu)
5. The Hunchback of Notre Dame ( Esmeralda, Pheobus, Frollo)

Then there is this week's Fannish Five. It isn't Friday anymore, but it amuses me so...

Five Fictional Doctors I'd Want Treating Me
Doctor John Watson (Sherlock Holmes 2010) Gareth David Lloyd, 'nuff said.
Doctor Owen Harper (Torchwood) He's abrasive, but I'd trust him with my life.
Doctor Leonard McCoy (Star Trek XI) I feel pervy lusting after Bones, but...
Doctor Martha Jones (Doctor Who) She's taken care of the Doctor.
Doctor Perry Cox (Scrubs) Again, abrasive, but I'd trust him.

Lastly, James Cameron said in the March 15th issue of TIME Magazine, "Sigourney's character is dead, but nobody's really ever dead in a science-fiction movie.*"

He knows science-fiction. Cameron is a six time Saturn award winner, winner of the Bradbury award, and nominated for both awards this year for Avatar. He knows "serious drama." Cameron has two Oscars for Titanic. He knows about making money. Cameron produced the two highest grossing movies of all time -- Avatar and Titanic. When he talks people should listen.

*The emphasis is my own.
