Stuff that is making me kinda happy
· Yesterday I paid for my first semester in school. BCIT is so sneaky, they break up the technical courses into 'Part One' and 'Part Two'. Even though I'm only taking two courses in my first semester, to take both parts it is costing me $1,740. Wowza. That is not even counting books or any software that I may have to purchase. Can you tell that I haven't been to school in a very long time? My new found money panic is being overshadowed however by the exhilaration that I'm finally starting school on January 10!! Wheeee! I feel like I finally have some goals and plans.
· I just looked in the paper and Camera Obscura and Of Montreal are coming. Yes, I know I just saw Of Montreal last year but they are so much fun live and always makes my ass shake in all sorts of directions. I haven't seen Camera Obscura in sooooooooooooooo long. Since living in England, in fact. Back when Gavin had a crush on me and threatened to beat up this wank writer from NME for yelling at me and calling me all sorts of names while I was working the door at their show. Gavin is a big guy, I'd be scared too. :P
· Last night I was laying in bed and I could hear the heavy winds and rains shaking my window. I guess I'm happy that it wasn't another hurricane.
· I have 4/5ths of the largest lasagna I have ever made sitting patiently in my fridge waiting for me to slice it up and package it up for dinner at work (the gym) today. I also have an avocado, cucumber, tomato, almonds, sesame seeds and pine nuts screaming at me to make a salad for breakfast. Oh, and I have nice coffee to wash said salad down!!! (does anyone eat salads for breakfast? hahahha) Life really couldn't be any better.
· Christmas eve is tomorrow and I will be going over to the wonderful lyndszy's apartment for festivities. I really miss my family and I have to work a dumb 5 hour shift at the gym but I'm off at 5 and I have a phone that calls home cheaply so I think I will be a-okay.
BTW IF ANYONE KNOWS ANY GREAT APPLE MARTINI RECIPES OR ANY GOOD MARTINI RECIPES IN GENERAL PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
