I'm enjoying how today is both the Chernobyl fire anniversary and TMBG Awareness Day. Because when I think of incompetent government handling of a crisis, and hideous radiation-related death, I think of They Might B... nah, no relationship there.

This is imprinted on my mind from another era:

Venkman: This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
Mayor: What do you mean, "biblical"?

Ray Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath-of-God type stuff.
Venkman: Exactly.
Ray Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!
