Metro, I am on hiatus from our relationship
Metrorail, how long have we been seeing each other? Over 25 years? I have been patient through your breakdowns, the rising cost of tickets, and your growing lack of cleanliness, but this time you have cut me off completely from my job? What am I to think?
(Tuesday July 5th through Monday July 18th, the only Metrorail route south is severed in one of two places, with shuttles in between, and promises of severe delays. Yay!)
So I have found comfort in the arms wide welcoming seats of another - Virginia Railway Express. Sure, she's more expensive, but she actually gets me to work, and relatively on time. I just don't know where we will stand come July 19th, Metrorail, I just don't know.
