School of the Americas Protestors Do It Right
To all you "Stop the School of the Americas" protestors this morning?
Bravo. I enjoyed the sing-along, too - a little off-key, but it had heart. The granny with the hand-lettered sign was especially effective, in that I now remember that HR 2567 is about SOA, and I wasn't even paying attention. It all seemed so reasonable-but-concerned, that I'd feel like a jerk advising my boss to vote against HR 2567, were I a staffer.
So, um, can some of you guys go to the anti-abortion idiots with bullhorns and explain to them that in lobbying, you want to give a favorable impression of you and your cause? Thanks.
