After a long hard day of dressing up in 1840s clothing today, I'm going to go home and then dress up in Harry Potter clothing and see the final segment of the final movie.
It's the end of an era. I'll probably write some post about it tomorrow after I've slept and digested my feelings (then I'll probably write more history stuff and such, you know me). It may a bit maudlin, perhaps more triumphant and fannish and gleeful. We'll see.
I've loved this series so much, ever since that one day in junior high when I stopped by the tiny library at the military base in Kingston and the nice nameless lady at the desk held up Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and asked "Have you read this series yet?"
Thank Merlin for librarians.
