The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

If you haven't read it, you should. It's about this girl growing up with her odd, nomadic family in the desert. It is absolutely fascinating, so rich with detail and quirkiness that sometimes it's hard to believe it's an autobiography. One of the best books I've ever read.

Robbers and Cowards - Cold War Kids

I know I'm a little late on this train, but I bought this album last weekend and I just can't stop listening to it. My best friend was generous to buy me their just-released album, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. However, the cashier at the place I bought it from thinks that their newest is actually better than this one (which seems impossible to me) so I can't wait.
