“You're not going to the music room?” Aiba asked Nino, both of them outside. “Aren't you performing soon?”

“There's still a week left,” Nino said. “And I can always practice at home anyway..” Aiba raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything else. Nino never liked practicing at his house if he could help it, and he usually always went to the music room as much as he could before a performance.

But of course, now there was Ohno. Aiba smiled, having noticed how Nino changed when Ohno entered Nino's life.

“Oh-chan's a good guy,” Aiba mused. Nino made a face at him.

“You don't have to bring him up every time something unusual happens,” he said in an annoyed tone and Aiba laughed.

“Ah, Jun-chan!” Aiba waved at the student running up to them.

“Sorry, was speaking with Sakurai-senpai,” Jun said, catching his breath.

“What about?” Nino asked.

“None of your business.” Jun smiled; Aiba tugged at his arm and whined. Nino laughed and began walking with the others to Aiba's house- now that he finally had more freedom, Nino needed to return to his guitar.

“You didn't do anything to it, did you?” Nino asked when they neared Aiba's house.

“The guitar? What, you don't trust me?” Aiba pouted.

“Of course not,” Nino answered without hesitation.

“Nino's so cruel,” Aiba whispered to Jun. Nino was glad to see that the guitar was fine, and he held it carefully, like it was his own child.

Just having it in his hands again made everything seem fine. But Nino knew that wasn't the case.

--

Nino was hiding, he knew that. Even when seeing Ohno from across the hallway, Nino had quickly turned the corner. He didn't want to be cowardly, but maybe he was. Nino couldn't really find the energy to care- he just wanted to avoid Ohno as much as he could for the time being.

He was scared of what he would do if he met Ohno. Nino knew he couldn't hide forever, but he wanted to get his feelings sorted out before the dreaded time.

Whatever those feelings were.

Furrowing his brow, Nino reflected on his previous thoughts after running away. Love? That didn't seem right- it was impossible to fall in love with a sexual harasser, or at least Nino wanted to think. Ohno being a crush didn't seem right, either. Crushes were when girls got all giggly, but none of them were girls and hell no was Nino giggling thinking about Ohno.

For the third time that day, the teacher started scolding Nino for 'daydreaming.' (Just teach the damn lesson, will you, Nino thought grumpily.)

“Aiba,” Nino called once class was over, “lunch up on the roof? It's warmer today.”

“Sorry Nino, I have to go somewhere!” Aiba smiled apologetically and quickly took off. Nino raised his eyebrows and looked around for Jun, more surprised when the student wasn't found in the room.

“So where are we going?” Aiba asked Jun, meeting him at the end of the hallway.

“Sho said he'd be in the student council room,” Jun said. “Neither Ohno or Nino should have a reason for going there, so we should be fine.”

They did find Sho there, and he greeted them happily. “Aiba-chan has no idea what's going on?”

Aiba frowned and shook his head. “Just that it has something to do with Ohmiya.”

“Ohmiya?”

“Ohno and Ninomiya!” Aiba grinned. “And maybe add the SK too!”

“Someone's getting excited,” Jun chuckled.

“Alright, let's call this the Ohmiya SK plan, then.” Sho smiled. “We need to get the two together, perhaps guide them in a way where they don't act so...well, stupid. Ohno has a problem of teasing Nino in a way that doesn't really quite work well.”

“And so Nino, being stubborn, definitely won't accept his lovey feelings because he thinks it's impossible to fall in love with that kind of Ohno?” Aiba chipped in.

“Although from what I see, Ohno isn't the big concern,” Jun said. “Sure, if Ohno acted how he 'regularly' does around other people, it might speed up the process. However, Nino obviously likes Ohno even the way he is now.”

“Satoshi hasn't told me directly, but I know he's made his feelings clear to Nino already and Nino hasn't seriously rejected him yet.” Sho sighed softly, but then shared the others' smiles.

“Time for matchmaking,” Jun said, a certain glint in his eyes.

Aiba laughed. “Jun-chan is an expert at this! In no meantime they'll be a happy couple.”

“I'm a bit unsure about the happy bit, though,” Sho joked. “But you're right, I don't think it will be too hard of a job. They're both in love after all.”

--

Nino really hoped he was doing the right thing when he entered the art room. He knew Ohno was there from asking another artistic upperclassman, although he didn't really know why he asked in the first place since his feelings still weren't sorted out.

Ohno looked toward him at the sound of the opening door, and he smiled as soon as his eyes beset upon Nino. “I missed you.”

“Stop joking.” Nino sighed warily, and got right to the point. “If I rejected you 'seriously,' would you be sad?”

Ohno regarded Nino silently before answering. Nino was fairly pissed when Ohno merely shrugged and looked back down to the art piece he was working on. “Wouldn't it be normal to?”

“You're not normal,” Nino retorted. Ohno smiled wryly.

“Will you be content if I answered yes?”

“Doesn't really matter,” Nino muttered.

Ohno smirked and closed in on Nino, but he refused to back away now. “I don't really know, Nino. It's not really a possibility anyway, is it? I don't believe I'll be rejected from a loving kitty like you.”

“You're full of yourself, you know that?” Nino glared back into Ohno's eyes. “And I am not loving, nor a kitty,” he spat.

“Fine, fierce little tiger?” Ohno chuckled softly and slid his fingers around Nino's nape, who did his best to suppress a shiver. “Nino,” Ohno whispered (seductively. I bet he's trying to be seductive, Nino thought warily.)

Despite desperately hoping not to, Nino couldn't help the red blotches appearing in his cheeks. “What?” He snapped back. He hated always somehow being the inferior one to Ohno, always goddamn acting like the girl. Well, at least he didn't start giggling.

“I don't understand,” Nino murmured. “I don't get why you're interested in me- why you like me. I don't get why I let you do all this to me when I should hate it, and I do! At least I always think so but apparently my heart says a different thing and I don't even know what that different thing is but it can't be that I actually have the same fucked up feelings, right?”

“Aren't you being awfully talkative today?” Ohno smiled. “If by 'fucked up' you mean love, then I'd say listen to your heart. And if your heart is saying something other than hate, it must mean that you like me.”

Nino scowled. “You think I'll listen to you?”

“I don't see why not. It makes perfect sense.”

“No it doesn't! 'Love' doesn't make sense at all.” Nino's head dropped down onto Ohno's chest; he really didn't care anymore at this point.

“So stop thinking,” Ohno said softly, sliding his hands down to Nino's waist. “Follow your actions, like right now.” Ohno smiled at the smaller arms wrapping hesitantly around his own body. “Feels nice, doesn't it?”

“Your heart,” Nino murmured, his head turned to the side so his ear was pressed against the older student's chest. “It's normal. Not racing.”

“Hm? Is your heart picking up?” Ohno chuckled and tightened his hold around Nino. “You're so cute, Nino.”

Nino blushed, mad at himself but losing himself into Ohno's warmth at the same time. It was comfortable, as much as he didn't want to admit it.

Nino liked it like this, though. He didn't have to be confused- he was following his actions; Ohno's advice. “Don't grope me,” he muttered, quick to notice how Ohno's hands were slowly sliding even more down.

“Well. You're free to do it to me, then.”

“Do you really think I will?”

“Not really, but I can hope.”

Nino rolled his eyes, but he quickly let his hands wander down, and squeezed. He hadn't really expected it to be so...well, enjoyable, in the sense that he wanted to do it again.

Then realizing what he just did, Nino squirmed out of Ohno's grasp hurriedly. “I-I- …” Nino coughed and glanced up at the older's face. He was shocked to see faint pink in Ohno's cheeks, and a sparkle in his eyes.

Ohno's lips curved up into a smirk, the pink disappearing as if it had never been there in the first place.

“I hate you,” Nino muttered, irritated.

“I'm flattered,” Ohno replied, the smirk still annoyingly in place. “But anyway, Nino. Don't you think your actions say enough already? You like me, if not then you like my body.”

Nino frowned. Liking Ohno's personality seemed wrong, but just liking his body seemed even worse. As much as he did think Ohno was attractive, Nino wasn't that desperate for sex.

“It's not that,” Nino said uncertainly. “I just..” He jumped when the door opened and a couple of students entered. They both greeted Ohno and went to sit at a table.

Ohno swore softly, surprising Nino. “I'll see you later, Nino. Don't run away from me again, alright?”

“Whatever.” Nino sulked out of the room.

He didn't have much of a choice anyway, once he realized his ID was missing by the end of the day.
