moon festival!
i'm just going to post what i posted in my journal about this. i didn't spell check this or think about grammar. meh.
Saturday i performed at the renfrew ravine moon festival (http://www.moonfestival.net/). it was frickin' awesome. emma aly and I covered ourselves in clay and dirt and played with awesome musicians. we had all this elastic attached to trees and we bounced around in it (which is really fun!). the musicians were two guys from RedGrass (http://www.myspace.com/redgrassbluegrass).
it was all completely improvised. some really silly things happened. a fish lantern caught on fire and emma went over and started hitting it, and that wasn't working so i pulled it out of the ground and rubbed it in the dirt then wacked in on any things that was still glowing then hit emma over the head with it. the fire was defeated! heh. also we had a trumpet which i took out and started making noise with and someone in the audience said "look she's pretending she can't play trumpet" (little do they know i actually can not play trumpet at all and loud obnoxious noises are as good as i get). then i gave the trumpet to one of the musicians and one pretended to blow on it and the other blew a whistle. then there was the coughing that turned into laughing and then crying.
we were an installation performance art thing. we ended up performing for 2 hours straight. people arrived really early, and then the finale ended up starting late.
blah blah blah it was lots of fun i really want to do more stuff like this!

clay makes my hair way awesome! not very flattering pictures of me on sunday...
i want to dye my hair gray.
