I have a few questions.
I have been growing out my hair, and it is going well. The problem is, for the last 4 or 5 years, I have kept my hair chin length short. I haven't had long hair in years, and it's almost like I don't know what the heck to do with it. It is snarling and knotting really really bad at night (i don't sleep well, so i toss and turn A LOT) and I don't know how to stop it.I have tried a pony tail, which i don't like cause it damages the hair and it's uncomfy.. I have tried a loose bun and I have tried various types of braids.. i toss and turn so much that the loose braids just usually fall out and I still end up with knotted hair. Any ideas on how to stop this. I end up using conditioner to un-knot it in the morning, so my conditioner isn't lasting as long as it usually does, and lets face it, we're all on a budget.
I also have a question about products (as affordable as possible). I recently bleached my hair ombre, hated it and dyed back over it. then decided I wanted to go back to natural color, and hated it, so i dyed it back darkish brown.. but my ends are in shitty condition. they are really dry and brittle. I am scheduled for a trim, but i'd like to get some good product to smooth that out as well. right now im using redkin products, but its doesn't seem to be helping the quality at all.
My last question is the question I always struggle with.. bangs or no bangs?
Me at the end of August, no bangs:
with bangs:
this one's from like 2 years ago; side swept
i tried straight across bangs for a short time, but they always ended up separating.. i got a lot of compliments on them, but i didnt care for them much:
this is what they usually looked like at the end of the night. horrible.
so, to bang or not to bang?
