Bleaching over semi-permanent hair color?
Hey everyone!
So my hair is currently a purple-y red color (almost like the color of a Glosettes box), and before this, it was pink, then bright red, then dark red, so I've got a TON of layers of semi-permanent color going on under this purple-y color (I used mostly Special Effects & Punky Colors).
Anyway, I want to take my hair back to a light (but natural-ish looking) blonde. I know I'd have to bleach all this color out, but what then? Would I need to get my hair to bleach blonde, then layer a natural blonde box dye over it? Would I need to tone my hair before the box dye?
Any help would be much appreciated!
