The Overwhelming Indecision.

When we left off, I described how my life was comfortable enough and close enough to my goals currently that I could just stay here and not be unhappy. Or so I think. But I am restless and I feel the creep of unhappiness in the back of my skull, so perhaps it is time for a change. Here is where the REAL issue of restlessness surfaces, and it is the ( Read more... )

One small change can lead to all sorts of opportunities one could never expect. You have it in you to make big leaps, as hong kong showed. I didn't realize you were doing so well theater wise to be able to quit your restaurant job. Explains why you don't seem to complain about it as much.

It doesn't look like this is as big of a leap as hong kong was and finding another restaurant gig again if you need to won't be hard if you quit amicably with your current one. But once your free of the restaurant you'll find drive to decided what you want to do and how. Directing, getting in shape, moving away if need be. Plus answers to other problems that might be nagging you that you're unaware of may appear! Or not. In which case you just go back to setting yourself up as comfortable again, no harm, no foul. :)

Seriously, the best way to lose weight that i've found is being ridiculously sick for long periods of time. You can eat as healthy as you want and go for a run every day, but nothing's really going to come off until you can't keep anything down. <--anger anger anger at the state of the world and beauty standards and my own fucked-up head.

Also, if i were you, i wouldn't move unless the relationship were much more committed than it seems to be. Don't fix it if it isn't broken--you're having awesomeness where you are.

Wow... I know exactly how you feel. I mean, I'm probably in a more comfortable position than you (living at home means I've got some decent money stashed) but I really sympathize with the not-knowing-what-to-do side of things... I've got at least a year before I hit the end of the ride that is university, but in my mental life-planning vision, up to that point is nice, and then there's a big black void. On the bright side you know what you want to do (theater, kids, get in shape), even if it'll be bloody difficult to pull off.
