The Streets of Baltimore, Late Late Laaaate Friday Night

Aug 15, 2014 18:37

Minako had had a rough few weeks. Someone had thought it was a good idea to make a circus - a place of joy and dreams! - evil, and killed a lot of her friends along with their fiendish plot. Then raised them from the dead and turned them Evil with a capital E. For some reason, she was having a bit of a problem dealing with that. Not to mention wanting to get away from Artemis and his nagging about her recent lack of training, and having all her friends graduate and leave...

All of that is why Minako had eventually slipped off the island after Jess's Caritas party and headed to Baltimore. She slipped down the nearest alley, waiting to make sure she hadn't been followed by squirrels or students, then;

"Venus power, henshin yo!" rang out loud and clear, startling the nearest alley cats, and there was a blinding flash of orange light. A moment later, a masked figure was on the roof, wind ruffling her fuku and hair as she took stock of the city laid out before her. Out here, away from the island? Being a Guardian of Justice was a lot simpler. She could kick the butt of a few muggers, flirt with a few cute cops, and not worry about classes or Princesses or yoma or secret identities or accidentally hurting her friends when they went Evil. The moon was waning yet beautiful, and she could hear the city start singing its late-night serenade of sirens and laughter.

Sailor Venus took a few steps backwards, then took off at a run, her leaps easily clearing her across the gaps between buildings. She'd feel better about the world after dealing with some Crime.

[OOC: Totes NFB, but open for calls/texts/Baltimore residents/other crime fighters! I AM GONNA DO MORE OF THESE POSTS DAMMIT.]
