I want to go back to italy!!!!!!!!!!!

liza is in firenze right now... what i wouldn't give to be there! now i am so much more prepared... i can actually speak italian... gosh, i want to go back. right now. i would go to rome and just live there... make some friends and go to the less touristy places. now would be the perfect time to go. i could sell paintings, maybe. or i could work at a hostel... ha! when i think of the astrix hostel, crazy people... i kind of hope those awful images never leave me, that crazy squat italian woman who befriended me and that american guy who hit on all the girls... the depressed russian in the top bunk... those are characters waiting to be set down into a novel. i didn't shower for four days when i went to Rome. It was glorious. That was when I realized that I didn't want to travel alone... sitting on the Spanish steps and writing things in my journal. The cold stones beneath me and the unexpected pizza shop. The beginnings of it all.

Let's go-- let's do it, please? I'm totally serious... this coming summer, how can I not go?
