Dave

So as promised here the update to Dave. At this time he will be staying in the hospital until at the earliest Thursday morning. He has been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, which was angering his recent inflammation of Pancreatitis. Pancreatitis can be fatal if not controlled, however Sarcoidosis is mild and rarely fatal. He will remain at the hospital until his white blood cell count goes down, and he is able to eat and drink my mouth again. They also want the pancreatitis to be completely in remission again as well.

They are monitoring his white blood cells, which thankfully has gone from every 4-6 hours down to every 12. He was pretty sure he was going to run out of blood before they could figure out what was going on with him. The staff are wonderful, and he's as comfortable as he can be. He's feeling better, in that he is able to go longer without pain medications, but he is still on limited liquids by mouth and absolutely no solids at this time.

He and I want to thank everyone who has sent their love, support, prayers and thoughts. I will try to keep everyone updated as often as I am able to. We are both available by cell, but Dave would appreciate if people contact him it be limited, and that it not be by text message as he pays for those individually. He has also asked that no one visits him in the hospital. He shares a room and the space is beyond limited.

There are a lot of changes in the forthcoming months, which some will be rough. I am not at liberty to share most of the details but I would ask that you give Dave the support he needs, in time it is his decision to make as to whom he shares things with. My duty is simply to let people know how he is doing now. To those that have offered assistance it is appreciated, and should it be needed we are thankful for the help.
