I have decided I want to implement a little structure to my SCA Career. I want to be able to get out of it more than what I have been. I have been getting camraderie and fun, which is awsome, but I would like to learn more and be more creative. Over the next year I really want to flesh out my Persona, and develope a very authentic personal kit. I think that is plenty for one year in SCA, if I want to do it right.
I feel like I have a good knowledge base and even some great research, but it is a little meaningless if it is not recorded. My first step is to put together some documentation on the things I have already made. My Dress and jewlery. Next I will narrow down my persona's time period to a specific date and location. Then I will Make and document Shoes and a ring pouch. On top of That I want to develope a Bardic performance that tells some history. Fun Songs are Fun, but Heck, we can learn something too. That ought to carry me through to December or so. I think I will try to put together something for next years KA&S Fest they seem to do a Persona Pentathalon there.
That combined with getting myself in Armor for Combat Archery will be plenty for the next 6 months to a year. I am going to implement this plan, but I will also continue to keep having fun and chilling as top priority. this is supposed to be fun right?
In the long term I would like to achieve a tottally authentic camp for war, but that is way more ambitious than I should bite off at first. I also need a new name, but that is harder to change than one might think. I like Sexburgha, but Gregor has a problem with that... MMMm meat!
