30 Day Music Meme - Day 11
I listen to all kinds of music - if you were to get hold of my iPod for a little while, you would find rock, musical theatre, classical, jazz, reggae, and almost any other genre you can think of. The one thing I don't have a lot of is country music. Some country music is alright, though I usually like more country-rock. Twangy country where the word 'tractor' appears anywhere in the lyrics? No thanks! As always, there are exceptions, like-
"Loretta Lynn's Lincoln" by Josh Turner
This song is like every country music cliche rolled up together, but I LOVE it. Mostly because of Josh Turner's voice- I could listen to this man sing just about anything, and I'd be happy. It also includes what is possibly the most Southern lyric in any song, ever- "No ma'am, Miss Loretta, this ain't your Cadillac"
I can't find a good video to share, but you should go listen to this song - it makes me smile every time I hear it!
