Resolutions

Yeah, I really don't make New Year's Resolutions.  I have things that I would like to try, but knowing myself (and the fact that outside factors inevitably get in the way), resolutions are not really my thing.  That being said, around New Year's I decided there were a few things that I wanted to work on as much as I could.  Eating better, trying to be as healthy as possible, and writing more.  I was doing well on the 'eating better' part for the first few weeks in January, but then my body decided to be its usual cranky self and the last month has not been great.  I had my latest PET/CT scan on Monday, and am getting my results on Tuesday, though I'm fairly sure that I already know what things are going to look like, based on what I've been feeling.  The 'healthy as possible' goal seems to go out the window when I don't feel well- when it's an effort to stand for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time, cooking and exercising become rather difficult.

So that leaves 'writing more'.  Which shouldn't be difficult, as I haven't been writing much of anything lately.  Again, my stupid cancer takes its toll- when I am physically exhausted after a full day at school, my brain is not really a font of creativity, you know?  However, this is one that I can at least attempt.  Yes, it is more than a little late for New Years, and even a few days late for Lent, though earlgreytea68 is definitely inspiring me!  So, I am going to try to write at least a little something every day.  Starting with FINISHING my 30 Day Music Meme, which got unceremoniously dumped about 3 rounds of radiation ago (yes, that is how I measure time now.  BLEGH!).  I can't promise anything super exciting after that- mostly tales of my students (generally wonderful) and my doctors (who are awesome people but generally have not-fun news).  Still, writing.  Which is good.
