More Horror Fu
So today I went to Smart & Final after work and bought 5 gallons of Karo syrup, plus one each large bottle of red and blue food coloring. These ingredients, together with cocoa powder, produce the most amazingly realistic blood for the purpose of making a horror movie. I was liberally splattered with it on Saturday night and it caused the actor who 'found my body' (or more precisely, my body parts) to almost lose her dinner. This is probably TMI, but it's really very interesting stuff -- I watched Eric make it and it looked way more realistic than the bottle of Stunt Blood (which washes out) that was also on the set. Since we have at least 7 more actors to kill off, much blood will be needed, so I was detailed to Get The Stuff. Costco gets a black mark -- they had 60 Lb. buckets of corn syrup but wouldn't sell me any -- it's for the bakery, not for resale to customers. Phooey...
