That's not so bad actually. Up here, only 6 more weeks of winter would be an early spring.

It's been snowstoriming here since yesterday. Last night I drove to Hamilton and counted 8 vehicles in the ditches along a stretch of the 403. My little 98 Saturn SL2 seems to just charge through bad weather while 4x4 trucks go flying off the road. Not sure why ( Read more... )

March always seems like a wasted month. The weather here becomes chaotic...mild, a few mild days followed by bitter coldness, windstorms and blizzards. No real progression from cold to warm as one would hope. It's looking wintery out. There's just a skiff of snow outside. It's kind of nice, that clean, light, fluffy snow that comes down in soft clusters of flakes that silently scatter when they hit the pavement. For now, it feels refreshing.

It's snowing today, the second snowfall we've had in November this year. Looking like it might be a cold winter. And in fact there are travel advisories and road alerts in Ontario today because of iced/snowy roads and idiotic drivers who drive like it's still July ( Read more... )

At this time of year (december until late january) I always feel as though as though time is moving by very, very slowly, no matter how busy I am, and regardless of mood or outlook. Although also I'm usually rather introspective at this time of year too.
