wedneday update
i) Last day of classes (at least for those I'm involved with). Good.
ii) Raining like crazy outside. It's amazing how much everything has greened up with just one or two rainfalls. Must be the nitrous oxide in the rain replenishing the soils.
iii) My allergies are bad this season. Not just the typical watery congestion, but puffy eyes and conjunctivitis as well. It must be the early warm temperatures.
iv) Telling my parents about the house went well. I had resisted the idea about telling them over the phone, preferring the direct approach. Spent most of the weekend explaining over and over again to various relatives and friends on both sides about the new place.
v) Since soon I'll be commuting to work, I'm looking to get a new car. The only thing I know about it at this point is I want a blue car, and possibly a Ford. My dad, who used to sell cars, had me confused with all the options and benefits and drawbacks of each different make on the market.
vi) Went on a major junk clearing binge from my apartment yesterday, the third of these so far. Going through my linen closet, everything from tattered towels to old sheets, to clothes I had packed away from 10 years ago were bagged up and thrown out. How does a person accumulate so much?
There was a few other things I had thought to write about, but have been distracted several times while writing, and memory fails me. Another post for later I guess.
