i) This is my last day before vacation. We're heading to Toronto on monday morning to see Tim McGraw in cocnert that night, then up to my hometown peterborough, then to Bancroft for hiking and canoeing, then to Ottawa to see retrogamerbear and company. And back again of course.
I keep thinking I need to bring my passport and get some american $$$ before I leave.
ii) I finished the a tough game of Civ IV Warlords last night. Just as I was reaching the modern age and pulling ahead technologically and socially,the stupid mongolians and japaneese both declared war on me, when i wasn't prepared. I just barely managed to hold on to to cities by imposing the draft to round up troups, although I eventually gained the upper hand and rebuilt. But for the rest of the game the every nation in the world was locked in a prolonged war with nukes going off and everything. And yet somehow I managed to win the game. Hmmm.
iii) It's been dead quiet here today. I hope it stays that way. I hate the last-minute-before-vacation "emergency" that I usually get before leaving.
