brief recap
Got back from North Carolina safely, if a little late because of the busy airport.
It's one of the best trips I've had in along time. The bears we stayed with were amazing hosts. We got to see a good section of countryside in NC and southern Virginia (along the Smokey Mountains), as well as the city of Charlotte and some local attractions. Got to sample some local cooking (like the pork with East NC vinegar sauce) and also some non-local food (Chineese, etc.). The weather was perfect and basically like early June would be here, with most of the leaves out on the trees.
Also had all kinds of other fun that I can't go into detail about here. I can still smell the heavy cigar smoke on my skin and clothes.... ;)
