I took a few days rest from the computer - all back to normal now.

Glad it's Friday, no plans so far but I have stuff to do.

I've more or less finished configuring my new music PC and have imported my track templates which has made recording so much easier. I'm struggling slightly with my guitar playing but I've definitely improved; the problem with recording guitar is the forensic way you end up listening to your playing. In the music sequencing world, timing for most electronic instruments can be spot on and accurate to the millisecond - strumming a guitar is a less exact science unless you're very accomplished. Listening to the two together can really point out weaknesses especially when you have the facility to isolate one or two instruments from the mix.

My new composition marks a departure from my usual electronic chill-out work beginning in a rock/industrial style but as it has developed it ended up being electronic chill out again. I love the second half of the track but am now thinking that it doesn't belong with the first half. I'm wondering if I should split it into two tracks or throw caution to the wind and just have a sort of weird Industrial Chillout Bastard track instead. Could it be that I just came up with a name for my creation ? Unfortunately the mix is too rough for me to post for comments but if I don't get it fixed this weekend then perhaps I should post what I have and let the public decide.

Have a great weekend everyone.
