-The Tigers rallied from down 3-1 and 6-4 to beat the Texas Longhorns 7-6 in 11 innings in Game 1 of the best-of-three College World Series Finals in Omaha, Nebraska just now.

D.J. LeMaheiau hit a 2-run double with 2 outs in the top of the 9th to tie the game at 6, Mikie Mahtook hit a RBI single in the top of the 11th to give LSU their first lead of the game since the 4th, and Matty Ott pitched 3 solid innings and a perfect 11th to win the game despite Texas batters hitting 5 solo home runs in the course of the game(the other run scoring from 3rd base on a wild pitch that appeared to hit the batter at first glance but barely missed him). In fact, between the Tigers and the Longhorns, there were 7 solo home runs total, a new CWS record and this was also the longest CWS Final game ever.

LSU takes a 1-0 lead and can wrap up the national title with a win in Game 2 tomorrow night.
