Scylla really likes ice cream. I think Gus wants to know more about it, but Scylla isn't going to let her near the ice cream bowl until she's completely finished with it. Poor little Gus. Poor little Gus who weighs probably twice what Scylla does.
Also, the CPD (Claremont Police Department) set up a sobriety checkpoint on Foothill at College Ave. They were stopping everyone, asking to see your license, look at your eyes and asking if you'd had anything to drink. They were out in force. Probably 4 motorcycle cops, 3ish cruisers, two huge mobile command post trailers, and 3-4 tow trucks waiting for them to catch anyone. Overkill, in a word.
Also, I'm pretty sure that 10-20% of today;'s meeting time was wasted answering the previously answered or otherwise pointless questions from the upper management bureaucrat who came on this trip because LA sounded nicer than DC this time of year, not because he had anything to contribute to a design review. I should have brought a stopwatch to quantify it.
