Over the weekend
korosz and I went to see
Push. It's actually one of the best "people with strange mental powers" movies that I've seen. The things I particularly liked were the cinematography (no shaky-cam and no overuse of jump-cuts in an action scene), the lack of big name, low talent stars (I'm looking at you, Keanu), and the fact that the movie treats you like an adult and doesn't try to spoon-feed you everything. You're expected to make assumptions and figure out the universe, instead of being led through it by the hand. It really speeds up the pace of things. Check out io9's
review of it for more. I think it's pretty spot-on. This is one you should make a point of seeing while it's still in theaters.
