Well, that didn't exactly work as planned...
Well, I'm starting this piece over again, the couching, at least as wrought, wasn't working for what I wanted to see. So I'm starting over again, and complicating the couching pattern. (I know, most folks would try to simplify it, but that doesn't seem to be what this piece needs, so complicated it is.)
(And I already tried simplifying it, and well...no. Ick.)
So I'll be posting updates as they happen, and pictures of course.
Now it's on to re-tracing the pattern on to the cotton, putting on some music and some coffee.

Yup, the pattern has been retraced. Couching lines are put in red. The fill, between the gold, is probably going to be reds and orange. The outer border is going to be a celadon green, the inner border may be orange or yellow, not sure yet.
