I'm on the brink of my summer adventure.  Tonight will be the last night I will sleep in my own bed for 4 months straight.  It will be like I'm leaving home for good...and then I'll return and it'll feel weird again.  Right now it feels safe... secure...and totally comfortable.  Which is what home should be.  But I feel prepared to step beyond that...to take that journey to a new place of comfort.  To stretch out that boundary a little farther... prepare myself a bit more for the independence that I seek.

My bags are packed and I'm ready to go.  And no, I'm not gonna get all Armageddon on you ;-)

Surprisngly enough, I only have one suitcase.  And it's not even filled to the brim!  Crazy!!  Although, the more I think about what I packed I think about the things I didn't pack...and then I'm like "no, you don't need that..." And then there's the things that I know are packed in my backpack in Salem - so those will be added to the list.  So that's good.

Now it's on to bathroom stuff, which won't be too hard to pack.  I also wanted to get my room in better order...so I'll work on that for a bit.  The car is ready to go...nice and cleaned out already, which is pretty sweet.  And in the morning I will pack everything in it and head off to Mo-town (i.e. Modesto) and we will vaccum the car out and then pack the rest of the stuff.  Then we're having a "farewell dinner" of sorts with matt and I with my parents and his mom and grandpa...so that'll be fun.  It's like a little send off, which is cool.  Also the first time that it'll be kinda like the "future in-laws" to be sitting down together at once - which is kinda cool in a way.  Apparently Matt wants it to be a bit more "dressy" of an affair than just jeans and a shirt....which says a lot coming from him.  It'll be nice. :)

And then earrrrrly Saturday morning we'll be heading on up to big bad Salem. :-D  It'll be weird/fun to be back...and then even weirder to continue on past Portland on Sunday and venture into Washington and then Canada... how freakin' awesome is that?  I'll be in Canada on Sunday.

Also... I have NO idea when/if I'll have internet along my journey.  I know when we're in the states I can find places...so it's all good there... but I will totally log on and update everyone on my journey. :-D

I am super excited and I have really good feelings about this.  Something really strong is pulling me onto this trip, so I'm glad that I am able to listen to it and things are working out to do this.

Anywho.....

I will get back to making sure everything is ready.  Which also includes making sure I have addresses to send people postcards. :-D

Ok... gotta go.... ttfn!!!!!!
