WATCH OUT! Alexis' new cd sucks goat nuts!
I have just purchased the new Alexisonfire cd, and I can't say I am impressed at all. They sound like a totally different band. George hardly screams, which I thought would be a good thing but it's not. George and Dallas sing most of the album. It is nothing like their last album. Their lyrics are sentenced in a simple fashion. Georges screams aren't broken up into syllables and they are no longer random. It's just a generic punk album. nothing special about it. Their lyrics have gone down the drain in my opinion. (ex. White Devil- "Hey kids we got a new white devil and it goes in your fucking nose.That's right we got a new white devil, this is how the story goes..." It just lacks.... I don't know... thought... time...effort... My brother worded this best, "I'd expect lyrics like these out of a band like operation ivy or someone like that..." I would have to agree, these lyrics (and the whole cd is like this) do not meet to my high expectations... *sigh* what a shame... prolly not so impressed.
