Maybe nobody will believe that I'm not a totally brainwashed fanboi of Apple, but here's criticism of the MacBook Air that should be very convincing that despite how sexy it looks, how alluring, its Reality Distortion Field is rapidly collapsing in the press.

If you don't want to follow the link, lemme say for the record: It stinks.

No leaks, drips, spills, water damage, short circuits, or ruined basements. Water cooling is working well, keeping stuff silent, and the system seems to not be giving me grief because certain fan inputs (eg CPU) are reading zero RPM ( Read more... )

The (OEM) Sapphire brand PCI Express x16 graphics card with ATI Radeon X850 XT (256mb) arrived yesterday. It was quite simple to get installed - the difficult part being prying the computer case peripheral slot cover plates out of the chassis so I could actually plug a card in.
