Jeebus!

I didn't realize it had been over 2 months since my last update. I suck big time. Not that I really have much to put in here anyway. Life revolves around work, work, getting beat up at work, and more work. I could've had a life last night but instead I chose to stay home. I didn't feel the need to go out and get shitfaced. I'm gonna catch hell from Jessie, but he'll live. One of these days I'm gonna have to take him up on one of his offers to go out because yes, I need fun in my life. Me, him, the roomie and his roomie are supposed to be movie buddies and I think the next movie we're going to see is Brokeback Mountain. So yay! We must do that soon.

So, since I have nothing else to put in here, I shall do the meme.

1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Coached a teenage girl's softball team. Oy.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I've never really been able to stick with any so it's pretty much pointless to make more. I'm better with doing stuff when I initially think about it.

3. Did someone close to you give birth?
Nope. But in 2006 I shall have another Godchild. Hee!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not this year, thank goodness.

5. What countries did you visit?
erm... not one.

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
I would love for my drive to make a return. I somehow lost it.

7. What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 1st, the day I had to move back to Iowa from Florida, because it made me cry.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Keeping my sanity while living in a house with four other stubborn women, and with one guy for a few months.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Having to move back to Iowa.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No severe injuries, but yes, injuries.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
The new BSB album. Yes, I really didn't buy too much.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Mine. Because I haven't killed anyone. ;)

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
my sister and brother's on many occasions because they're both supposed to be adults. And the roomie's at times because she makes a big deal out of little things.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, clothes, presents for others.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
there wasn't anything to get terribly excited about, aside from the new BSB cd.

16. What song will always remind you of 2005?
Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani. Because it was on heavy rotation for so long it just about drove me insane.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? a little bit of both, I'd say.
ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner.
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer, definitely.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
being more active in getting my career off the ground rather than taking any old job to pay the bills.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent most of Christmas working. I would hope this year it would be different. I plan to be back in O-town or else maybe in NYC or LA.

22. Did you fall in love in 2005?
Hahahaha! Oh, it's not a joke? No.

23. Any one-night stands?
Psh. Are you kidding? I have self respect.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Nip/Tuck!

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate's really a strong word. But I have cut ties with a few people I considered my friends, if that counts.

26. What was the best book you read?
Book? What's a book? I kid, I kid. My songwriting book. Good pointers.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
A few of my friends at Full Sail. They're gonna be big someday.

28. What did you want and get?
Nip/Tuck Season 1!

29. What did you want and not get?
an IPod.

30. Favorite film of this year?
RENT!

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Nothing special, really. Went out to dinner and had a cake at home with family.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
having more confidence and actually more actively persuing my dreams.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
Comfortable. That's what it's all about.

34. What kept you sane?
dazzlingstar

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
It's a tie between JC and Nicky. Hee!

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the tsunami's aftermath.

37. Who do you miss?
My parents. Some days it's almost more than I can bear.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
dazzlingstar

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005.
It's something we all should know but I guess I really took it to heart this year. Be true to yourself and don't let your fears stifle your dreams. Otherwise, life sucks.
