So I've been having more ideas for a werewolf!John fic. All I could think of initially was a scene or series of scenes where he's training Gladstone (and is very good at it, for obvious reasons). Sounds intrigung!

I can so imagine one parent and then the other mentioning how nobody stayed the night at Uncle Eddie's and Aunty Mary's respective homes, and never saying exactly why. And forgetting that there's a reason for it.

And John's sense of smell picking up some vital clue that Sherlock can't detect.
