Is anyone else having fits of epic joy over the new Star Trek movie? Simon Pegg! Young!Kirk and Spock! Leonard Nemoy cameo! *Dies in a puddle of trekkie happiness*
I love Star Trek in all its incarnations (even though my trekkie friends tell me that that's not possible) and I have always loved TOS for its role in the creation of slash fandom, if nothing else. Not that I don't love it's promotion of equality, tolerance, it's fantastically bad sets, the cheesy dialogue and any and all other wonderful things in it. Oh, and SULU! I am such a Takei fangirl, it's unreal. I can't watch I'm a Celebrity, 'cause I'm a wimp, but I sat next to the set it the common room last night while the girls were watching it, just to hear his voice. Seriously, set your phasers to stunning XD
