Okay. I'm am SO sick of hearing on the television all these people blaming McDonalds and the other fast food resturants for them being overweight. I understand that it is from eating the food there, but it isn't like they (at the resturants) ever said it was GOOD for you to eat that food. The nutritional stats. are on the little sheets of paper that are on the trays you eat off of! They are also online. People just don't look them up, and then get mad when the grease dripping all over them ends up sticking to their bodies! It's just frustrating. Maybe it comes from working in a resturant, but I feel like it's common sense. EVERYONE knows fast food isn't really good for you. Yeah, you can get a salad, but even that isn't that great for you. It comes down to this...
Fast food isn't good. They make it look good...that is their job, they are advertising...that's the whole point to it-to sell their product. They do NOT make you get in your car, drive to the resturant, go in or sit in the drive thru, order, give over your money, take the food and then eat it. I don't think it should be taken away or anything like that. People should be able to eat what they want, they just need to inform themselves of what exactly they are eating.
It feels like all this world does is try and take the blame off of themselves and blame it on someone else. Like, "it can't POSSIBLY be MY fault that I'm overweight...its the fast food that I eat." Give me a break. If it's the fast food, then DON'T EAT IT. I LOVE fast food. But every time I eat it, I know what I've just put in my mouth, and I know that I'll pay for it in my weight. But I know that all I have to do is go outside and exercise a little bit (or maybe a lot...) and the problem will be solved. It doesn't take that much work to whip up a dinner that is healthy for you. Rachel Ray does it every day on 30 minute meals.
I just had to vent. It bothers me SO much that people try to blame the resturants. It's not like that is their only choice for food!!! Ugh....
