i came in from taking out the trash to find eddy perched on a pillow on the recliner. he looked so stinkin' cute that i had to take a couple pictures and he obliged by throwing a couple cute poses my way...

saturday was hot. super duper hot.

we got popsicles from the ice cream man and had to share them with the pooch to keep him cool. it was so hot he had a hard time keeping his eyes open.

several weeks ago, i spread used coffee grounds in my garden beds in an effort to improve the soil.  for weeks the grounds went undisturbed by the dog.  saturday morning i caught eddy rolling face first in the grounds trying to get the scent on him:

today eddy was intently sniffing his way across the front lawn at work until he stopped near the gopher holes that have recently popped up.  out of the corner of my eye i saw something pop out of one of the holes.  i thought i was imaging things so i kept watching the hole and, lo and behold, a gopher popped his little head out.  eddy kept sniffing ( Read more... )

my brother was in town for the weekend for a wedding. sunday morning we went to brunch and came back to our house for some wii sports. this was my brother and parents first time playing wii. my mom ruled at bowling.
