Okay with the earlier rant out of the way, some brief commentary:
-I know we've had the "whooo" visual effects from the PoTW's point of view before, but it IS an effective way of getting across that something is going quite wrong. I like that she initially didn't realize anything was wrong, but thought that she was "in the zone."
-CIA guy having House's picture? Damn. It's sort of too dramatic to be believed, which is why I cringed over this episode as a possible shark-jumping moment. ...Possibly House jumped the shark a while ago, but you know I'm still going to watch it to the BITTER END.
-"We prefer the term, 'life partner.'" LOL.
-What was with House suddenly being able to hop up stairs? I don't know if this is a good thing (developing plot point), or a REALLY bad thing (MORE inconsistency over House's leg? ARGH).
-House's face when he saw the helicopter? [How can it be a "jet" if it lands on the roof?] Priceless. As was CIA guy's line, "It helps to have props." That almost totally redeemed this episode's plot alone.
-I know it's been said, but House's ringtone? HE FLOWS ON THE DOWN LOW, OOH. *snicker*
-->(P.S. WHY DOES NO ONE MAKE MUSIC LIKE THIS ANYMORE?! *weeps*)
-The fact that House actually has CTB as "cutthroat bitch" on his cell is almost a little TOO meta.
-CIA chick is really not that ugly. House's flirting this episode was over-the-top, but I do agree with others that it was partially because he did not believe he would ever see her again, and so threw all caution to the wind. And is it so hard to think he might ACTUALLY find her attractive? She is older than Honey was meant to be, at least.
-Um. The ducklings did something in here...piss off the racer, yeah. Or Foreman did that. Quelle surprise. Also, Kutner is awesome. "Who's got a cane?"/"Aaaand for the gold..."
-Ha, Foreman psyching out Cameron. "But she said it was the worst headache of her LIFE!"
-Chase's jealousy re: Cameron is also cute. I'm just noting this to refer back to.
-More lulz: "My safe word is 'help, please please stop.' That's two 'pleases'."
-House's phone conversations with Wilson were awesome, yet strange. What was all the nakedness about? Why is Wilson so concerned about a background check on himself - what's he hiding? Love to House referring to him as his "valet," though.
-"I have a position available on my penis...I think I screwed that joke up." That joke was so full of FAIL that it was WIN, if you know what I mean. I love how there was actually an awkward pause there, like House was truly embarrassed he'd gone over that line. I'm not sure why I like that, but I do. And I like how House and CIA chick sort of seemed to come to a harmless mutual understanding/mutual flirtation after that. Until she showed up at PPTH, anyway.
-Cuddy being a bitch to Wilson: aww. Wilson's face was so kicked-puppy. I felt bad.
-House is the WINNAR in the end, of course. I saw that coming because House wouldn't be wrong about the order in which radiation poisoning symptoms progressed.
-House actually distracted by CIA chick and then making a totally undignified dive for the closing elevator door was funny as HELL. Let's have that on instant replay, shall we? Smooooth.
-I liked Cameron's awkward approach to Foreman in the lounge. It ALMOST looked like she was approaching him in a more...personal way, which I figure is why Foreman gave her that "WTF are you doing?" look.
-I also liked their subsequent conversation. I didn't read it the same way as other people did, i.e. finding it strange that Cameron has fond memories of Foreman with a needle. (Yikes...) More that I agreed with her that the "excitement" of people doing "whatever it takes," is exactly why people find this SHOW so exciting, so why shouldn't the characters?
-On the other hand, does this mean Chase is reading jealousy into Cameron's actions where there isn't any? PLZ INFORM, HOUSE WRITERS.
-I'm So Bored Brennan turning out to be batshit crazy? Well, that was actually a pretty good way to get rid of him. And I KNEW it couldn't be polio - they didn't explain where she got it from!
-"I once cured depression with tonic water. Actually, I think there was some gin in it, too." Anybody else think House is referring to himself? Anyone?
-Actually, maybe we shouldn't ask the writers anything. They seem to have forgotten that House PWNS Cuddy, as established in "Mirror, Mirror." OH WAIT, they can't use that in any meaningful way - she's his boss! Way to write yourselves into another corner, House writers.
IF THEY GET THEIR MONIES, WILL THEY STOP SUCKING?
-On the other hand, House using CIA chick's euphemism ("I know how to kill a man with my thumb,") was topped only by Cuddy's response ("Oh, who DOESN'T know that?!")
-CIA chick shows up again. House is all, "OH SHIT, WAY TO MAKE THE DECISIONS FOR US, DICK." LOL. I may be the only one sorta looking forward to her second episode, but I totally am.
Blah. I'm tired. I cannot believe it's actually only 5 p.m. - it feels more like it's eight. Possibly because it's been dark all day. I should really go to the library and return books, but I don't want to. *whine*
My eye has been twitching all day. I don't know why, but Google sez it may be because I've spent too much time in front of the computer and should get off.
...NAH.
