CALGARY PICTURE POST. I wrote all about our trip in
this post, but pictures are better than words so suck it. I tried so hard to narrow these down, but I think I failed. There's like 50 pictures under the cut. However, they include a bunch of random Calgary pictures as well as Warped pictures, so w/e.
Amy on the bus at like 12:30pm on the way to Calgary. This is after 10 hours of traveling, but she's obv still pretty excited.
Golden, BC. Personally, I absolutely love stopping at gas stations for 45 minutes at 6 in the morning after not sleeping at all for many, many hours. It's great.
Calgary Zoo! This is a red panda, I totally want one.
skjlkajdghadf baby elephant!! I guess you can't really tell it's baby because there's no adult elephant in the picture to compare it to. But seriously, so tiny and cute.
Amy demonstrating that she is the same size as a prehistoric dinosaur. They could be twins.
Giraffes! Apparently a baby giraffe had just been born at the zoo, but it wasn't out in public yet because it had to be with it's mother*~ or some shit. Lame.
Amy petting a fish. It's very effective.
Liiiions. They all flopped down in the grass after this because it was so hot out.
All the flamingos were pretty calm and stuff, except these two that were totally fighting about something. I bet one of the flamingos cheated on another one of them.
Calaway Park. It was super fun.
I am happy because I'm tall enough to go on all the rides.
Amy is sad because she's only a turquoise. She won those awesome glasses though, so it's all good.
Amy riding the carousel in the mall food court alone. Her horse is the best one ever, I picked it myself.
Warped Tour! The venue was so lush and pretty and classy, as you can tell from this picture. Just look at all those trees!
Family Force 5!
omg, that white sqaure hitting thing on the right side of this picture was so awesome, idek how to describe it, I obviously suck.
Chapstique!
I'm kind of sad we left early to see Conversation, FF5 were just as awesome as I remember from last year.
Conversationnn. We bought stuff after at their tiny little tent (Amy got a button and I got a sticker) and it was super awkward because we kind-of-but-not-really knew them.
omg, their guitarist cut his hair and he looked so much better before. Compare the guy on the right to the guy on the right in
this picture. SO DIFFERENT RIGHT UGH.
I really like this picture, idk why.
Set Your Goals!! They were soooo good.
The two lead singers look so opposite, especially now that his hair is blond.
The crowd was super into it, obv.
Ludo! The lead singer was super funny.
We The Kings. I really enjoyed their set a lot.
Travis' hair is so very bright.
The Bronx! All my pictures of them came out shitty, I think the sun was working against me.
Amy only ate half of this hot dog. However, to be fair, I only ate none hot dogs.
Mayday Parade!
I'm pretty sure everyone in the crowd wanted to have their babies. Obv, that's why they had to be right up front. To make sure they didn't miss out on the baby-making. I have no idea what I'm even saying anymore.
Whoooo.
Forever The Sickest Kids! They were so good, holy shit.
Their drummer Kyle is in the picture, and we (me and Amy) got a picture with him by the Cobra tent right before we left, but it's on her camera. Amy kept referring to him as Kyle from Every Avenue (not in front of him though) because he was wearing an Every Avenue shirt.
The Academy Is...!
Amy and I both do not enjoy their new songs, but it was good to hear their old stuff again. Although we were much farther back in the crowd than when we saw them last year. Har har har.
Travis from We The Kings came out for a song, but I forget which one.
The Vandals and a huge wall of security guards.
I keep forgetting to download their albums. I really did enjoy their set though.
He was quite energetic on stage.
Motion City Soundtrack!
All of my pictures of them suck too. I blame the sun again.
Say Anything!
Bemis!
CLAP CLAP CLAP.
More Bemis!
WHAT WHO THE FUCK IS THAT.
Cobra Starship!
Ryland and his tongue.
Gabe, Vicky-T and Suarez during Smile For The Paparazzi.
More Ryland, sans tongue.
Travis from We The Kings sang Beckett's part in Snakes On A Plane (Bring It). I'm pretty sure we saw Travis like 25 times on stage that day. Or maybe 3. I'm not really sure.
Amy was pretty dirty. Or unclean, if you want to look at it that way.
The sky was pretty as we were leaving Warped.
Amy looking classy as fuck at the bus depot in Vancouver.
AND THAT'S IT THE END.
Quick update time. I've been doing mildly interesting stuff lately, actually. Let's see...on Saturday me, my mom, Mike and Karlie went to Victoria. I bought 2 pairs of jeans, 2 sweaters, 2 cardigans, a belt and a hat at Value Village, and then a V-neck shirt and a dress at one of the malls down there. I think I shop too much, because we went shopping in Calgary too. Oops.
On Sunday we had a ton of family over to our house...my grandparents, Mike's parents (Karlie's grandparents), my aunt Niki, Mike's sister and her husband...there was like 12 of us total or something. It was exhausting but the food was good.
On Monday my mom, my aunt Niki (and her dog Cooper) and I went for a hike to a lake near our house. It was super tiring, but really nice. And then today the three of us went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. It was okay, but not great. Karlie left today though, and is spending a few days with Mike in Vancouver, meaning I have the house to myself all day tomorrow for the first time in forever. I'm psyched.
