(no subject)
It looks like winter again here! We have some snow! This has been the rainiest winter I ever remember. It has also been the darkest and dreariest. We have got about 2 inches of snow, and Mortie is going crazy! He loves the snow, and he has to go in and out all day long! Silly doggy!
Tomorrow all of the festivies in Detroit will end. I have heard the downtown area is pretty crazy! A gal I work with went downtown on Fri. She said they had a hard time finding a place to park, and it was very expensive. She also paid a $20.00 cover charge just to get in a bar! I will be glad when all of this is over, I am getting sick of hearing about it.
I have lost some weight! I am down to a size 6, and even that is getting a little loose. When I started my job in April, I was just fitting nicely into a size 10! Then slowly my size 8's got loose. I have had to go out and buy some new pants, becuase the others are too baggy. The bad thing about working in a ladies clothing store, is you ALWAYS have to look really good. Not that I am complaining, but it can be expensive!
We have been getting in some really nice things for spring. I bought a few new sweaters last week, and I am going to buy 1 new thing per pay. We don't have to wear there clothing, but they like us too. They also like us to dress for the stock that is in. Meaning..since we are getting in spring clothing, they want us to wear spring clothing. The 1/2 off discount is really nice!
The manager from one of the jewelery stores came in the other day, and asked me if I was looking for new job/
I told him no, but he said that he would beat whatever I am making now. I guess the store is expanding, and he was wondering if I was interested in working for him as an assistant manager. I have talked with him often, and he seems really nice. The offer is tempting, but I think I am not going to look into it. I now have benefits where I am at, and I really don't want another change in my life! I have had enough! However, it is nice to know I am wanted!
Tomorrow, we will be going to my Mom's and taking her out to eat for her birthday..It should be fun. She has been all excited about it, just like a little kid!
